  1. It doesn't have to be in this at bat. Gregg looming.
  2. He won't ever change. New stripes on a bass or something.
  3. I would be excited if I thought the Braves would scratch a run across that series. edit: d'oh they have.
  4. God I hate Jerry Hairston Jr. Not quite as much as wehn he played for us, but still can't stand him.
  5. It's very frustrating when your leadoff guy can't score from second on a basehit with two outs.
  6. He sucks but the inning was screwed up when Scales popped out.
  7. I think he has the career one, don't know about single season though.
  8. I was listening to 810 sportszone here today and they interviewed one of the BA guys, I didn't catch his name, but he basically said Gibson would be the bust of this years draft.
  9. I think very highly of Evans. Much higher than most, it seems (though obviously some of that is relative to this subpar draft class). he reminds me of jerry stackhouse without the ability to shoot. i guess that's not necessarily a good thing. I like Evans too. I think he could be an NBA point guard. He not lightning quick like a lot of PGs, but at 6'5"- 6'6" I think he can be a guy that can run the halfcourt and do a lot of things for his team. He can see and shoot or pass over smaller PGs. He can create his own shot and/or get to the line and should be tough to guard on the pick and roll. I think putting the ball in his hands also takes the emphasis off of him being able to make a jumpshot. I keep seeing the Larry Hughes comparison and their college games were a lot alike, but Evans has much better handles and is more of a willing passer than Hughes ever was. I don't like Evans nearly as much. While he could probably play PG in the NBA I don't think he'd be anything special. His handles are nothing special and he's not very quick/fast. To be honest he's not especially athletic either. He was able to get to the rim in college partially because he was just bigger/stronger than most of his competition but also because he really has some awkward looking moves. I don't see how his game is going to translate well to the NBA. He's not much of a shooter and I can't see him getting off his shot against guys just as big and strong as he is but quicker. He really reminds me of a Chris Dougless-Roberts with more court vision. Just IMO. Also, don't forget, Calipari tried three other players at PG before letting Evans try it out. The results were good but they also coincided with C-USA league play beginning. Kinda sounds a bit like Jalen Rose. Not a true point guard, awful shot. Not super atheltic.
  10. Robert Swift FTL.
  11. With the way baseball heads are all worried about african americans losing interest in baseball, I am suprised David Stern isn't freaking out about the white guys not being in the NBA. Could you imagine the awesome awkwardness of a reporter asking him about that?
  12. We play in Houston again? Jesus, that's our third series there and we haven't had Milwaukee at home yet. And last series in Houston. For some reason, we got all the trips to Houston out of the way early this year. I guess it is better to play them early before they play their annual .890 ball after the break.
  13. We play in Houston again? Jesus, that's our third series there and we haven't had Milwaukee at home yet.
  14. Madison Bumgarner fool, no you're probably right. I like Madison better though. Awesome name and talent. No way, I'd rather have Hanson than Bumgarner. Buchholz. ;) I always forget he's down, why the heck is he down?
  15. Actually, it determines home field advantage in the World Series. What's a World's Series?
  16. Think of it as Lou pulling a TLR and batting the pitcher 8th.
  17. If I come, I may or may not actually get tickets. I'd go to the Futures Game on Sunday. Those tix are easy to come by. And I'd enjoy Fanfest. I went when it was in Houston, and I did have tix to all the games. They were a lot of fun, but I really enjoyed Fanfest. Vance how does one get the Futures game tickets?
