The indications are very strong that Jevan Snead will declare for the draft and forego his senior season at Ole Miss. A year ago at this time most analysts would have considered him an easy 1st round QB choice, however, his most recent season was pretty awful. As it stands now, if he were to come out he'd probably be a late 2nd or early 3rd rounder but lose out on all the big bucks. However, if he were to return to Ole Miss and have a strong senior season, that would push him back into the 1st round. So what gives? Perhaps he is afraid of getting injured and not even getting drafted next season? I think the biggest factor pushing him toward the draft are the QB's that are sitting behind him at Ole Miss: Nathan Stanley and Raymond Cotton. Nutt has pretty much come out and said that there will be a QB battle in the spring. If Jevan were to lose his starting spot (I don't think he would) then obviously any NFL draft hope would be completely dashed. Anyways, Good luck Jevan. 18 wins in two years at Ole Miss is pretty remarkable.
