  1. Except not like that in any way Way to take a simple joke seriously there, fella
  2. This has to put them as favorites in the West next year, right? . Good heavens no. They rank 65th of 65th of Power 5 schools as regards returning starters. Including Dak, I believe they have 6 returning starters on both sides of the ball combined. I know I'm biased, but I feel like last year was flukey (other teams down, favorable schedule, senior laden team, very solid QB) and was the ceiling for Mississippi State. You just can't recruit to Starkville.
  3. Dak Prescott coming back for his senior year. Not surprising; he is not an NFL QB talent.
  4. Wow was that Kimmel bit a dud
  5. Because helmet stickers are stupid and meaningless And obviously unearned.
  6. How does Cardale Jones have so many helmet stickers?
  7. Is switching hands and then stretching out not a football move?
  8. Stupid ass rule. That was a catch.
  9. Hmmmm
  10. Pretty fair comparison. He's definitely a poor man's Tebow. Prescott has more arm strength but he played like ass in State's two biggest games this year. I've yet to see him pass well against a good secondary. He is a terrific athlete though. Would probably make a good tight end.
  11. With twice the arm strength though.
  12. WOW, did some things really go in Kentucky's favor that game. Leading free throw shooter IN THE COUNTRY gets fouled on a three and seizes up with cramps and can't make his free throws, but is replaced by the worst shooter on the team who proceeds to miss 2 of 3. A three pointer taken away like 6 minutes after it was shot. Obviously it's legal to do, but I've never seen the refs review a play THAT LONG after it happened. His toe was certainly on the line, so it was the right call, but damnit if that's not a brutal way to lose a game. If that play isn't reviewed Ole Miss wins in regulation. THEN, and this one drives me insane the most, your senior captain, in a tie game with the clock running out, attempts a stupid NBA three instead of charging and getting a foul. Good lord Rebels.
  13. Ole Miss leading Kentucky at the half at the Rupp. I don't expect to win this game since the Rebels aren't very good, and they only got to shoot ONE free throw so far, so we gotta play the refs too, but this shows me that I don't think Kentucky goes undefeated this year. They are definitely beatable.
  14. Kevin Brown was the weird one for me. He's Curt Schilling minus the bloody sock. Brown had a 5 year stretch (96-00) where he won 82 games with a 164 ERA+, 2.51 ERA, and 1.051 WHIP. Pretty sure that is better than any stretch Schilling had.
  15. So I just came across this... Johnny Evers won an NL MVP in 1914 with the following stats: .279/.390/.338, 113 OPS+, 137 hits, 81 runs, 20 doubles, 3 triples, 1 HR, 40 RBI, 12 SB. For comparison's sake, the AL winner that year, Eddie Collins was .344/.452/.452, 176 OPS+, 181 hits, 122 runs, 23 doubles, 14 triples, 2 HR, 85 RBI, 58 SB.
  16. Surely he wouldn't make it past the Jets.
  17. Ryan Leaf? I'm talking about NFL winning QB's.
  18. Jeff Blauser probably did too at some point.
  19. As a Saints fan, Winston going to the Bucs scares me a lot more than Mariotta. I'm not going to say that Mariotta is a gimmick QB in the likes of Colt Brennan or whatever, but I think Winston would be able to be plugged in immediately to Tampa's offense. Winston has all the physical tools in the world and is a proven winner, but if I was the Bucs I'd be so damn worried about his brain and his decision making ability. He seems very, very unintelligent, and obviously so. I'm sure there is someone I'm clearly missing, but are there any examples of winning QB's who appeared to be so patently dumb? (aside from Terry Bradshaw)
  20. Yep. For some reason I had the same brain fart. His catcher was Eddie Perez, of course. Yes it is. I guess we'll have to wait until like 2035 for the next Cubs player(s) to get in....hopefully.
  21. To my understanding, it was just one person who had an issue, not the entire team. But I'm sure we're still the worst. I said you aren't worse than Bama.
  22. FSU players had their cars keyed and tires slashed. Definitely a classy fanbase, yet they still lose a close match to Bama in the worst fans contest. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2015/01/florida_state_players_return_h.html?hootPostID=ad3d10c877d3fed1bd025ed33b4d560d
  23. I need that gif bookmarked
  24. I think the point is that "traditional" methods would not work in his favor. haha, fair enough.
