  1. nice curve by Rich to get Piazza to ground out into a force out to end the inning.
  2. Williams has already allowed 2 first inning runs in Des Moines. Two 1 out singles and then a double steal led to a 2 run RBI single for Salt Lake. Peoria down 1-0 in the 3rd.

R Hill, P .000 0 0 0 finally a lineup that mostly makes sense. Neifi got 3 starts in all 3 games of this series though :x
  4. 7.5 games back in May is still a lot when you have to climb over 4 teams. 8.5 back.
  5. and I just saw on BBTN a few mins ago how Ozzie got ejected. Can't blame him for it...2 awful calls in one inning gave the Twins 2 extra outs. I'd be pissed too. That is a situation though where Dusty would probably just be sitting in the dugout wondering what's for dinner that night.
  6. ok he can hit righties which is good. I think it was Fred in the gamethread that mentioned having Hairston in RF when facing lefties...I could go for that. the guy was supposed to be a great guy on defense with a great arm. I have not seen any of that up to today. His "great arm" helped contribute to a Padres run in the 8th today. I'd like to see his defense show up because everyone knew he would probably only be a .250-.265 hitter throughout the year. His defense was something I thought we could rely on from him, but so far that has not been the case.
  7. Jaxx win 3-0. Marmol, Atlee, and Rapada combine for a 3 hit shutout. Scott Moore's 2 solo shots and Patterson's solo shot was enough for the pitching tonight :)
  8. Daytona wins 9-2. Alan Rick hit another homer, a 3 run shot in the 9th. Berg finally gets his first W of the season. Scott Moore hit his 2nd homer of the game to give the Jaxx a 3-0 lead. Marmol threw 6 2/3 innings of 3 hit ball, only walking 1, and striking out 11. Atlee came in to throw 1 1/3 innings of perfect ball. Iowa loses 8-2. Deardorff homered accounting for Iowa's 2nd run. Pie finished 1/3 with a double, a walk, and a K.
  9. that was the only time I have ever seen Dusty get that mad in his tenure here. wasn't that the game where we came back and won in the 9th on a tying homer by Sosa and then one pitch later, the game-winner by Alou?
  10. yep I wanted him re-signed as well. It's unfortunate that Hendry didn't even consider trying to bring Nomar back.
  11. Peoria loses game 2, 7-3. Daytona leads 3-2 in the 8th. West Tenn up 2-0 in the bottom of the 6th. EPatt hit his 4th homer of the year and Marmol has thrown 5 innings of 2 hit ball, including 8 K's :) Iowa down 7-1 in the bottom of the 6th.
  12. some updates: Peoria down 7-3 in the bottom of the 3rd of game 2. Billek didn't see the end of the 1st inning as he gave up 6 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in just 2/3's of an inning. Daytona leads 2-1 in the 5th. West Tenn leads 1-0 in the 3rd on Scott Moore's 5th homer of the year. Iowa down 3-1 in the 3rd. Pie walked his first AB and Restovich homered for Iowa's lone run. Valdes has gave up 2 homers that has accounted for all 3 of Salt Lake's runs.
  13. Alan Rick, who is catching today (Fox is DH'ing) for Daytona, hits his 1st homer of the year as he puts the D-Cubs up 2-0 in the 2nd :)
  14. Peoria wins game 1 of the twin-bill in 7 by a score of 4-2 :)
  15. Peoria leads 4-2 in the 7th of the 1st game of 2. Atkins day is done going 5 innings, allowing 8 hits, but only 2 runs, 2 BB's, and 3 K's. Garcia and Muyco have both driven in a pair today.
  16. does it even matter anymore? Today's loss was the worst of the season.
  17. if it's not Murton, I'll be throwing things.
