    I can't believe many of NBC's talking heads actually think that Favre is going to retire.

    I think they'll recover as the New Year begins, but there are some serious problems they need to remedy. One is team toughness. This team is probably the softest in the league, they got pushed around tonight, and we end up seeing Duncan Keith (at 6 feet, 193 pounds) try to take on some russian Svitov (6'3, 217) in a fight, and while I credit Keith for having the balls to do that, the Hawks need someone who's a real enforcer, and can hold in his own in a scrap. Vandermeer used to be able to do that, but has shown absolutely nothing this year. Olcyzk really snapped on Vandermeer for not backing up Keith in that bout.

    Final was 3-1; Columbus netted an empty netter with 5 seconds left. These two teams have a lot of tension as evident by the fights, and much more aggression than normal. We got hosed on a few calls, but still, our offensive ineptitude cost us this one.

    Again, I don't understand why Benson doesn't start. Stupidest coaching decision I've seen this year.

    I hated Charles Woodson the last couple years when he was on the Raiders and this makes me hate him even more. He had 6 interceptions in his final five years with the Raiders. Three of those years he only played half the year but still. 6 picks in his final 54 games with the Raiders and 8 in 16 games with the Packers. is he on a 1-year contract? It really seems like this is the first year he has decided to show up since about 2001. No, we signed him to a long-term deal.

    I'd like to think that the Packers are just playing that good :D you can think that...but everyone knows what's going on. Yeah, the Bears really aren't playing that well. And apparently, the Bears are really desperately trying to win this game.
