  1. Ugh, Blanco grounds out to third. DeRosa holds. Come on, Z.
  2. Just looking at the mock draft reiterates the point that there are a ton of solid WRs available this year.
  3. if it weren't for all the division and conference titles, playoff wins, and championships, i'd say they're the exact same person. oh, that and skiles like to bathe every once in a while and frowns upon looking like a complete slob all of the time. Please, I hope that comparison is never made again.
  4. Oh, I'm excited. I think we all are :) Great game tonight. Game on Sunday in Toronto is going to be tough, but I think we can win it. Hopefully Big Ben and Tyrus will be close to 100% and hopefully Noc gives it a go. If we're at full strength, I think we'll be able to win it. Plus we haven't lost at Toronto in a real long time, so we need to keep that streak alive.
  5. Short turnaround from tonight as we're only about 14 hours away from the start of tomorrow's game. Rich Hill was dominant and looked like the same Hill that dominated in the second half of last season. Offense broke through for their first big game of the season as we scored six times in the first inning. Let's hope that they saved some runs for tomorrow and Sunday as well. Pitching matchup: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/407296.jpg Carlos Zambrano: 0-1, 9.00 ERA, 5 IP, 2 Ks/5 BBs http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/282656.jpg Ben Sheets: 1-0, 1.00 ERA, 9 IP, 3 Ks/0 BBs Getting three strong starts in a row from Lilly, Marquis, and Hill has to inspire Z to make it four in a row. Let's hope he's not as wild as he was on Monday as well. And let's also hope that Sheets won't be as dominant as he was against the Dodgers. A quick start on offense against Sheets would really help Z settle in and dominate, I would think. Mods, feel free to add the XM radio station for the game in the thread title. Go Cubs!
  6. Iowa wins it 6-2. Cherry allowed a run in 1 and 2/3s, but struck out 4. Rapada had a K to end the game. Pie was 1/2 with a walk and 2 runs scored. But he was pinch hit by Moore in the 8th. Moore moved to LF for the rest of the game and Pie moved to CF. Hopefully everything is all right with Felix. EPatt was 0/3 with a walk and 2 runs scored as well. Hoffpauir was 3/4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
  7. Ugh, Daytona loses in the bottom of the 11th. Daytona scored in the top of the 11th on a sac fly by Kyle Reynolds, which scored Nate Spears. Petrick pitched a second inning and gave up three straight singles before getting an out on a sac bunt. After a walk to load the bases, BC had a walkoff single to win it. Iowa up 6-2 in the bottom of the 9th. Wells had a great outing: 6 IP, 2 hits, 1 ER, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts.
