  1. Well at least Eric's fast. First career RBI.
  2. Finally, a hit with a man in scoring position.
  3. Why the hell is DeRosa swinging for the fences?
  4. Haha, Nady couldn't have played that any worse. Come on Lee.
  5. Good to see you're still a trolling jackass. I'm not really sure how that is being a troll, but whatever floats your boat.
  6. Yay, we're going to squander this opportunity.
  7. Marty's just pissed that Cubs fans call GABP their home when they come to Cincy. Was it classless to throw all those balls on the field? Yeah. But did he have to get on his soapbox to say all of this crap and to make rash generalizations about an entire fanbase? Absolutely not.
  8. Urlacher's actually threatening to retire if the Bears don't re-work his deal. http://rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?sport=NFL&hl=115083
  9. Come on Thompson. Wake up and get this man.
  10. I can understand the other things (agreeing with them to varying degrees), but why Henry Blanco? Lou has only started him 3 times out of 15 games. That's normal for a backup catcher, and if you take Blanco away from Lou that only means that Lou will have Koyie Hill for those 3 games. Lou had Soto catch the next day after catching all 15 innings the day before. Then he sits Soto for two games in the next couple of days for Blanco. It doesn't make sense. And yeah I realize that good backup catchers are hard to come by. I'd complain more about Blanco if the backup catcher was our only legitimate problem. Unfortunately, we have quite a few problems that we have to try to solve that are more important than the backup catcher slot.
  11. Daytona won 1-0 in 10. Daytona had two hits in the game: one by Wyatt and one by Matulia. Palm Beach only had two hits as well. Iowa lost 5-1. Another ugly game for the I-Cubs. Gallagher had a so-so outing: 6.2 IP, 7 hits, 3 runs, 5 K's/0 BB's, 13 GO's/2 FO's. Cotts' scoreless streak came to an end as he gave up two runs on two hits and two walks in an inning and a third. Murton went 0/2 with two walks. Fox was 1/4 with a double and a steal. Casey McGehee was 2/4 with a double and a RBI. Besides that, not much from Iowa.
  12. Love isn't the most physical guy, but he's got a decent frame. Could he add more muscle? Of course. But I don't think he's as fat as his detractors say he is. The Brad Miller comparison is a decent one. If I remember right, Miller really didn't start to develop a mid-range jumper until later in his career. Love already has a very effective mid-range jumper to compliment his game. He'll need some shoring up on defense, but I love his offensive game.
  13. Daytona's being no-hit through 5. Maestri is keeping them in it though as he's pitching a gem as well: 4 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 K's/1 BB, 4 GO's/6 FO's.
  14. I agree. In fact, if we don't trade up to land Beasley or Rose, I wouldn't mind drafting Love. Really though, I don't care who we draft. It would be kind of hard to mess up the pick this year.
