  1. they are meatball posts. The word is meathead, not "meatball." And I agree with you guys that some of these posts are absolutely ridiculous. Hate Edmonds for being a 38 year old, washed up outfielder that is a bad player. Don't hate Edmonds just because he was on a rival team. I really don't care if he spent most of his career on the Cardinals. The reason I don't like the guy is because he can't hit major league pitching and the fact that he's a bad fielder as well. Oh, that's better. You tell people that they can't hate a player because he played on a team that is the rival of their favorite sports team. But you support hating him b/c he's bad at baseball. Fantastic. Nothing like calling others ridiculous and following it up with air tight logic such as this. I understand hating rival teams. I absolutely despise all things Cardinals and Yankees. So let's rewind to where we were a few months ago when A-Rod was supposedly testing the free agent waters. You're seriously saying that if you really hate the Yankees that you wouldn't want to sign A-Rod because he played for the Yankees? That's preposterous. I would use Pujols as an example, but I don't want to get into a Lee vs. Pujols debate on a freakin Jim Edmonds thread. It is ridiculous to hate a player just because he played for a rival team and is now on your team. I hated Jim Edmonds because he was a Cardinal, just like I hated all of the Cardinals players. But if we actually signed a good player from the Cardinals, I wouldn't give a damn if he played for that team as long as he contributes to my team winning. I highly doubt Jim Edmonds is going to contribute anything positive to this team, so that's why I hate the signing. Not because of the fact he was with a rival ballclub for several years.
  2. The NBA is so ridiculous. There's no way home court advantage should make this much of a difference. I mean it's just ridiculous in the Hornets-Spurs series. Every game has been a blowout in favor of the home team.

  4. And then of course, the patented hit with two outs and nobody on.
  5. No kicker is worth being paid that much. There's no possible way you could defend a kicker being paid that much money.
  6. As long as Edmonds' fate is the same as Barrett's was.
  7. Every rational Cubs fan knows this is a disaster. Z's just speaking (or not speaking) for all of us.
  8. I can't believe Brownlie is still pitching.
  9. I really wish you'd find a new Cubs board to post on. Ballgame! That seemed unnecessary. LLF's comment was pretty unnecessary.
  10. Don't worry guys, he's just setting up the double play.
  11. I knew I always liked Vasgersian for a reason.
  12. MLS crowds, at least out here in LA, are pretty loyal. Small, but passionate. Now I will say I've never met anyone who has admitted to going to a WNBA game. A funny joke I read about the WNBA, that perfectly encapsulates its place in professional sports, was going up to random strangers and asking them if they'd rather find $5 on the ground or have their hometown team win the WNBA title. I'm taking the 5 bucks every time. Whoever passes on the $5 should be admitted to a hospital.
