  1. Wish I coulda seen that one. Big win on the road against one of the better teams out west. Deng with a huge game, career highs in points and boards. Curry with a big game. Tyson with 8 "O" boards.
  2. Worst defensive effort they've had in the 7 or 8 games I have seen them play this year. I can understand Shaq beating them up, but Doleac? Hinrich is no match for Wade. Gordon and Deng were great though. It's nice again to be disappointed at a Bulls 3-game losing streak. I think I even yelled at the TV last night.
  3. Haha.. you guys going to keep Davis or ship him back down south and take Alford from us? Please do take Alford from us.. pleaseee... Heck, I don't want Alford either. I wish Davis could just be the figurehead (i.e. the recruiter) of the program and let someone else actually do the coaching
  4. Bad. Very Bad. I'm gonna right a book called the Pierce Rules.
  5. What the heck? Horrible officiating going on right now. BTW, I've never seen anything like Ben Gordon. The way he performs in the 4th quarter is almost like an out of body experience.
  6. LeBron James and Dwayne Wade were also selected to play in that game. Neither will, as both should be All-Star starters.
  7. But 5th best record in the conference. If the Bulls finish 6th, bring on the #3 seed! I'll take their chances against Philly, Boston, NY, Toronto, or Jersey.
  8. I don't think he'll be a starter, but I think he'll be on the team. Definitely won't be a starter. Has to be voted in, I think. Now that I think about it, he's a longshot at best....the East is loaded with guards. Pierce, Iverson, Wade, Francis, Arenas, Marbury have all had better years than Hinrich.
  9. Skiles is amazing. What he has done with this team in such a short time is a miracle. BTW, do you guys think Kirk Hinrich will be an All-Star?
  10. Good to see them blowout a sorry Atlanta team. That's a mark of a quality squad, not even letting the Hawks hang. Is 14 points a best for Duhon? The Bulls make it tough for me to keep hating Duke. They have drafted Brand, Jay Williams, Deng, and Duhon in the last few years. Hopefully, the 2 they got now will stick around for a while and produce.
  11. Agreed. Great job guys, putting in the hard work to do the writeups. A lot of solid information. Sounds like everyone had a good time, and I envy you all. Starting today, I'm working on being the Member of the Year, so I can go next year! Have I even been in the running?
  12. They drafted a tweener in Gordon, it won't stunt the development of Deng. Garcia over Carney? Garcia is one dimensional and limited athletically. If the Bulls draft Head, they just might corner the market small 2 guards. Carney is a much better prospect than Garcia, if the Bulls did not draft the best player avail. when they pick b/c of fear of limiting playing time to Deng and go with a lesser player, Paxson should be canned. yes, but, imo, head projects out as a combo guard that would be used, primarily as a point. better handles than gordon, better passer, much better defender. as for garcia, one-dimensional? he can shoot, pass, rebound, play d, and he's a team leader. i've been watching carney for 3 years and i'm not all too impressed with him, comparitively. i'd rather have garcia. yes, i'd like to draft the best player available, but if a guy comes up who fills a need for us, i say we take him. i wouldn't pass on turiaf, either. we probably aren't going to be drafting any instant starters, if we can keep our present team intact for next season. we need an upgrade to duhon, which is why i like head, but we're doing surpirsingly well with him in the lineup. so, i couldn't really care less about the draft, since, even if we get to keep the pick, it's not going to be a difference maker anyway. our defense doen't need much help, and if we need a specialist, free agency is an option. I agree with UK, I wouldn't want another undersized 2G. And while Garcia can do all those things on the college level, I don't see him doing that in the NBA. He will become a one-dimensional shooter. He just doesn't have the athletic ability to guard or take it to the basket against the quality NBA 2 guards. He's a lesser skilled, less athletic version of Reggie Miller. I like Kennedy Winston too, but I compare Carney to Richard Jefferson. He's a former track star from Indianapolis. He can run, jump, and may be the best athlete in the draft which means he will likely be able to defend. I would rather the Bulls actually go with size over a guard though. From Rais' link there seems to be a lot of guys with size coming overseas.
  13. What gamecast are you using? ESPN's, but I believe NBA.com's is faster. Raw, the game on Monday is on WGN. Don't lie Mark, you were going nuts for the Big Macs. Bulls lead 26-24 with 9:00 to go. in the second quarter. Thanks, I'll be watching Monday.
  14. What gamecast are you using?
  15. Doesn't have the same ring as No Tippin' Pippen. ;) Gordon with 29!! I have 98-66 with 6:09 in the 4th quarter - I'm following the game on GameCast as always (actually, CT directed me to NBA Courtside Live at nba.com - it's faster than ESPN). What has gotten into Ben Gordon? I absolutely hated him in college. Up until last year, he had shown to be cocky and have horrible shot selection. Once he hit his third three in the 4th, he was looking for a 3 everytime the Bulls took it up the floor. He's a good player but I didn't like that one bit. Anyone wanna goto Bar Louie and watch him stiff a few waitresses? BTW, I was at the game with Mark tonight, probably the most exciting Bulls gave I've been to, INCLUDING the Jordan years. This speaks from about 30 games experience. I was at the game tonight, too. Great game. Got some great seats, section 122, just about center court, 7th row... Gordon went nuts. What a game. This was the biggest win I've seen in person since a 40pt victory over the Magic in the 96 playoffs.... If the Bulls can pull off the 6th seed, that squares them up with the Knicks for a first round matchup. That's a matchup I'm confident they would take, and with relative ease. BTW, what's with the Bar Louie comment? :-k As well as the Bulls have been playing it's gonna be tough for them to get in the 6th spot. Indiana is the next team to catch, and they are still a pretty good team w/o Artest, who are just getting their team together again. Orlando may be catchable after the bad trade they made and as soon as Grant Hill realizes that he's...well, Grant Hill. And Detroit is the only team that has been better than the Bulls in the last 10. The Bulls won't catch them. Washington is as surprising as the Bulls, and they are 5 games ahead of them. I don't like their chances in the 8th spot, facing the Heat. But I would be a lot more comfortable if they get 7th and face the Cavs, although ultimately, I think Detroit will get that seed.

  17. Eric Piatkowski sighting!
  18. Trying to watch both. Deng having a good game. Curry started out on fire.
  19. Nocioni is a hard nosed son of a gun. I really like his defensive game, and ability to step in and take a charge. Hes the type of player that will just piss the other team off, hes annoying lol. His shot has been off lately, and he hasnt been hitting the 3 at all. He has said he is a much better shooter than what hes showns so far so I hope thats true. I think he will be a very good signing in Pax's resume. The Bulls have Philly this week also so hopefully they come to play. I agree Raw, NJ should get better, especially with Vince coming to play everynight for the Nets, instead of half the time like he did the the Raptors. I lost alot of respect for Vince after seeing his interview with John Thompson on ESPN. Yeah, the couple games I have seen Nocioni hasn't hit anything from outside. Hasn't really done much of anything when I've seen him. I think he's hitting like 17% from 3 this season. I like this Bulls teams, but I hate the old guys. I can't stand AD, Griffin, or Piatkowski. Othella's ok. I like this team also. As far as the old guys go, AD is the only one who gets considerable PT. Like I mentioned earlier I think AD would be perfect coming off the bench, but SKiles wont mess with the starting lineup right now which is understandable. I actually like Davis in to start with Tyson bringing the energy off the bench. I would definitely start Gordon over Duhon though. Gordon has surprised me this year, but it would be nice if the Bulls got more size/defense at the 2G spot and came off the bench with Gordon at either G spot. Duhon's nothing special to me.

  21. 7-3 in their last 10. Hottest team in the East besides the Heat, who have been hot all year. 2 games out of the 8th playoff spot, with 2 games in hand over Philly. If they keep showing improvement, I don't think Philly is good enough to hold them off. Of course, New Jersey will get better and is right on the Bulls' heels. I haven't seen them play much this year, but seems as if Tyson is coming to play. What's up with Nocioni? Everyone was all about him early, haven't heard much about him lately. Edit: my 8000th post! Dang!
  22. THE BULLS WIN!!!!!! First victory of the season for the Bulls against a tough Utah Jazz team. Gordon with 22 points in 24 minutes off the bench. Curry with 21 points in 24 minutes off the bench. Hinrich with 17 and 8 assist, with a poor shooting night, but got to the line 12 times. Bulls as a team were 35-40 from the FT line.
  23. Yep, that's why I wanted Igoudala. He has all the makings of a great defender (long arms, quickness).
  24. I haven't seen either of the games yet, but the Bulls look like they finally have a direction this year. I wasn't happy with the Gordon pick (wanted a SG with height Igoudala or Childress), but Deng looks to be a very good player. Heinrich was the steal of the 2003 draft outside of Detroit skipping over Melo to let him go to Denver. For the first time in a few years, the Bulls didn't throw big money at a horrible player (ERob, Jalen) and didn't trade for trash (still bitter over the Artest and Miller trade for Rose and Best), although the original Mutombo trade scared me. This team finally has legitimate building blocks in Heinrich, Deng, Nocioni, and Curry....something you couldn't say since the Jordan years.
  25. Keith Smart was so gracious to take time out of coaching the Fort Wayne Fury to post at ESPN. Somebody in the NBA seriously dropped the ball on not making him their franchise player. BTW, I want a Sam Bowie throwback jersey!
