  1. If you're that big and people are on the ground at your feet. Don't jump over them. Step on them.
  2. Uh, yeah. Haven't taken a shot deep in a month and a half.
  3. Another short field. Let's get a TD this time.
  4. Wouldn't have gotten a first anyway.
  5. Wish Forte would stop pussyfooting.
  6. Melton! Peppers! Favre!
  7. Major Wright tried to kill Gerhart.
  8. Should be in the finals in both of my money leagues. My one league I have some interesting decisions to make. Calvin Johnson is set in stone @ Miami Then I have to start 2 of: Fitzgerald vs. Dallas Jacob Tamme vs. Oakland Pierre Garcon vs. Oakland Vincent Jackson @ Cincinnati Garcon has 31 catches for 336 yards, 3 TDs in the 5 games he has played with Austin Collie out. Just 21 for 291 for 1 TD in the other 7. Doubt Collie will play again this year. Leaning toward Garcon and Jackson
  9. Tennessee is still alive? That's awesome. I'll be rooting for that scenario just for kicks. The mediocrity of the AFC South has been overshadowed by the two western divisions. Just for fun, here are Sagarin's Division ratings: AFC East 23.98 AFC North 22.65 NFC North 21.46 NFC East 21.00 NFC South 19.88 AFC South 19.88 AFC West 17.96 NFC West 13.19 NFC South is pretty low for having 2 of the top 3 records in football, along with another above .500 team. Carolina is really bad though.
  10. In the 4th quarter (and OT) of the 1:00 games, my team put up a whopping 62.55 points! Led by Michael Vick, who had 13 points with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter, but finished with 42! I have a 164-87 lead, but my opponent still has Welker, Jennings, Peterson, and Bears D to play.
  11. Sexy Rexy with 4 TD passes!
  12. Rex Grossman = better than McNabb
  13. Heard the best nickname for Tim Tebow this weekend. "VIRGIN AIR" :hello:
  14. Looks like this may be a night for bad losses. Heat's streak in jeopardy vs. the Wizards who are missing Arenas and Wall's combined near 40 ppg. Magic only playing with 8, but they are going to lose to the Sixers at home. Cleveland is also up on the Knicks, though it's only by 1 with 5 minutes left.
  15. Of course this is all assuming the Bears beat the Vikings and the Bucs keep winning, which looking at their schedule, I think they will. It would indeed be huge for the entire NFC though, because I actually don't think the Falcons are that unbeatable. It would take close to a perfect game to win a game in Atlanta, but still. Exactly. Atlanta is not unbeatable, even at home where Ryan is like 20-1. They're home wins since their home opener? A 2-pt win vs. a terrible SF team on a FG w/ 2 seconds left, a 1 score win vs. a terrible Bengals team where they had to hold on after having a 24-3 lead at halftime, needed a goalline stand to beat Tampa, a late score to beat Baltimore, and a last second win where they were outplayed by GB. Then you have New Orleans, but the advantage they have gets neutralized by the fact they will have to go on the road to win 3 games in the playoffs.
  16. I'd rather have Derek Sherrod than Smith. Also, Smith didn't play LT this year at USC. I like Sherrod, but I am assuming he'll be gone. Smith hasn't played LT, but I'm not too worried. He has LT written all over him. I don't think the adjustment will be that tough. Any Illinois fans around? I'm a huge fan of a couple guys they had on D. Martez Wilson and Corey Liuget. What's the word on if they will stay in school or not?
  17. As a Bears fan, I actually feel just a smidge bad for the Packers. They are easily one of the best 6 teams in the NFC, but have had some horrible luck this year. If the Packers lose tomorrow night, and the Eagles beat the Giants tomorrow, then the Pack gets Rodgers back and beats the Giants at home the next week. We will most likely be looking at the NFC playoffs without what I consider to be the 2 most dangerous teams in the conference.
  18. Sweet. I am an NFL draft nut. Tyron Smith is the 1 OT that I am willing to use a first round pick on (just don't think any others are that good). I'm surprised that Smith came out because he's only 6'6", about 285. With no bowl game and an early declaration, Smith should be able to simply work on adding size and strength until the combine. If he gets up to 295-300lbs and can put up 15-20 reps in the bench, he may go really high. He's getting comparisons to D'Brickashaw Ferguson, who was also slightly undersized coming out a few years back. Smith may be looked at by a lot of teams as a project, who needs a season of coaching before he can play. But he's a guy that could have been a top 3 pick next year if he stayed for his senior year. Jurrell Casey was my first round pick for the Bears in a mock I did in September. He's now looking like a 2nd round pick. Nothing he has done really, just a lot of guys at the DT position stepped up this year and scouts want to see him drop some of his belly fat.
  19. IU did something last night that I've never seen. They got out to a 24-0 lead on SIU-E. SIU-E scored its first points 8:54 into the game, but those points were from the FT line. They didn't make their first shot from the field until 7:05 was left in the first half. Yep, 12 minutes, 55 seconds of no baskets to start the game. After building a 24-0 lead before any points allowed and 35-4 lead with no FGs allowed, the rest of the game was only 53-50. Despite complete and utter domination, IU still turned the ball over 17 times, sent a team that couldn't score if their lives depended on it to the line 23 times.
