  1. I think he kind of compares to Culpepper. Not because he is black, but because he is enormous and has a cannon attached to his shoulder.
  2. same here, except he's faster and half a foot shorter Maybe I was think of Braden Stokely or Matt Jones. Can't quite remember.
  3. Anthony Gonzalez really reminds me of Ed McCaffery.
  4. You're preaching to the choir here. Here's an interesting article on why the Raiders should no draft Russell. He compares Russell to Akili Smith. What FA or realistic trading options at QB are out there? I've heard McCown from the Lions or C-Pep. Neither of those are good options, imo. I agree with you that they should have grabbed Lienart last year. If I was a Raiders fan, I wouldn't be upset if they took a QB because honestly, they really need one. Edit: Could be totally wrong here but this is my impression from the outside looking in.
  5. That's actually a great call. I'm kinda feeling that also... I have made this call just about every game. I'll be right one of these times.
  6. or maybe if he played well against good teams he wouldn't be bashed so much either Quinn was the reason Notre Dame was even in most of their games. There wasn't a lot of talent there. Just my opinion.
  7. Rumors are flying all over the place.
  8. Landry roaming the secondary would be terrifying. He hurts people and he's fast.
  9. Lndry please. Though wouldn't be upset about getting any of those guys.
  10. Yeah, I have no idea either. Should be really interesting.
  11. I understand what you are saying but the risk that he sits out the season is a real one and something that should be considered. I doubt they would be considering trading him right now if he had generally agreed to play as a franchise player this year. I think the Bears preference is that he plays for them this year. They are seeking to trade him because of his threat to never play for them again.
  12. If the ultimate goal is to trade down, I would bet that it does. I think the Redskins trade down themselves in a senario where Peterson or Quinn drops. I think they are worried about getting stuck there and for that reason they are trying to make a deal. I don't think they want to roll the dice as they have multiple holes to fill and not a lot of picks.
  13. I think it would be tough for Angelo to make the original deal considering he already rejected it. If he can convince Snyder to throw in Mcintosh that would be ideal. It really all depends if he thinks Briggs is bluffing or not.
  14. Ha, this is probably why we heard that the Bears could move up to get Quinn and Peterson yeserday. Those players are probably the most tradable guys if they drop to the 6th slot. Sounds like the Bears are setting up future trades in case they trade up.
  15. OF'ers can put a alot more momentum into their throws than any other position, but that is an extremely strong throw and in the realm of possibility. That makes sense.
  16. 9:Okoye 37: Grubbs ??? 6: Landry 37: Jarrett ??? 9:Willis 37: Sears ??? There are a lot of options here. The value of moving from 9 to 6 is 250 or the 4th pick in the 3rd round.
  17. I really wonder what they would do with that pick. Quinn won't be there...he's gonna go to Cleveland. It's probably too high to get Landry. I don't see us taking another running back in Petersen... Trade back with Dolphins if Quinn drops?
  18. He's a very very exciting player. As for a top ten pick vs an additional first rounder, I'd give a slight preference to an additional first rounder. Getting the Giants pick, for example, would give the Bears a shot at a guy like Reggie Nelson. I personally feel that this draft is deep and 3 picks that early could be huge. On the other hand, the prospect of getting a impact player like Landry or Peterson is really exciting. I probably wouldn't be upset either way.
  19. 105 MPH? Was Barrett joking?
  20. Wait. I was reading this thread, and I completely thought this was sarcasm or a joke until I read the rest of your posts in this thread and started to suspect otherwise. You can't be serious, can you? Were you seriously predicting that Lee would go all year without a home run? I mean, he has a murderous dictator in his avatar, which unless sarcastic, doesn't leave me to believe reason stands in his way. who's the murderous dictator in my avatar? OOOOOOHHHH IT'S ON!!!
  21. But the fact is Dusty abused his guys more than any manager abused theirs. Lots of them are bad. But Dusty is the worst. I'm looking through the game logs from 2003 and he has so many 100+ ptich outings. He had 2 stretches when he had a long string of starts with over 100 pitches. One stretch was 12 consecutive starts with over a 100 pitches and another was 10 starts. These streaks were separated by 2 starts. Unreal.
