  1. Pujols was trying to throw his bat to an orphan boy in the crowd.
  2. The Beatles in a bloodbath.
  3. Honestly, if we could trade down the the top of the second and pick up a third in the process, I would wet myself. It looks like either Lewis or Pope would be there in the top of the 2nd. Or we could take a saftey and pick up Fasano in the late 2nd. This would be a great option.
  4. He's got to hit all those taters somehow!!!
  5. Also!!>!@@ There are rumors that the Bears will trade down for more picks.
  6. I guess the Bears traded Mike Green to Seatle for a 6th rounder. This solidifies my belief that we will be drafting a S in the first round.
  7. There was a huge disparity in game 1 but the free throw attempts in game 2 were almost even. If the Bulls aren't getting the benefit of the doubt on calls at home, I'll jump on board the bad-officiating train. I guess it's just tough to watch a game in which Shaq is involved.
  8. Not to cry about the officials, but the officiating in this series has been ridiculous and horribly one-sided.
  9. That quote is great because it assumes a few things. 1) Jones had a "thick" peroid with the Cubs. 2) If he's implying that Cubs fans are fickle, then he assumes we liked him to begin with.
  10. I don't think people are that worked up about it. I brought it up initially in the Pujols thread. I said something like, "Nice showboating." because I thought it was pretty funny. The reason why people are getting bent out of shape is because K-town's ridiculous homer defense of Pujols. Also, pointlessly bringing up Big Z when he doesn't apply in any way, didn't help.
  11. I think he's likable. He seems to enjoy playing the game, something that can't be said for a lot of players. Now, if he could just stop sucking then I'd like him a whole heck of a lot more. Yes, most of my dislike stems from the fact that he stinks like hot garbage. Still, it irks me when someone so terrible showbaots when he finally does something worthwile. It seems like he's trying to stick it to the boo-ers. The bat flip? I don't think it's showboating. He does it after every single home run. It's just his routine at this point. I don't really like it. I'm probably overreacting.
  12. I think K-Town likes Pujols!

  14. Showboating is showboating. I'm not saying that either guy is right or wrong. They're both human. As far as being "pre-meditated", how many times have you seen a pitcher throw at a batter who hit a home run off of him, or ran the bases with too much of a strut in his step? Plenty of times. Why is it OK for a pitcher to pre-meditate such behavior, but it's not OK for a batter? So? What in god's name does this have to do with anything? What on Earth are you talking about? When did I ever say that was ok?
  15. How does Zambrano pumping his fist after a strikeout have anything to do with Pujols premeditated showing up of an opposing pitcher? There is no comparison. It makes no sense at all.
  16. Are you seriously just trolling for arguments by pointless smearing Zambrano in a topic that has absolutely nothing to do with him?
  17. He'll turn 28 in the preseason. If all they can get is a 3rd round, then no way should they trade him. He's a starting RB, not a nickel back. There are several teams on the bottom half of the rushing list who fancy themselves as contenders and could be in need of a quality runner. I wonder if Dallas Clark's name has entered the talks between CHI and IND. I think we wont be able to trade him for more than a 3rd. No one wanted to trade for Edge or S. Alexander last year for a second. Of course, Jones contract status is a little more appealing than the other two, but he'll probably ask for a new contract. Jones doesn't have a lot of bargaining room here. He's getting up there in age and he probably would destroy his earning potential by sitting out a year (If he decides to hold out). I'm all for trading him if we can get a second. Third round picks are generally useless (With some exceptions) so I'd hesitate in that case. Benson and Peterson both looked decent in limited action last year. I think they could carry the load.
  18. So he was intentionally trying to show up the pitcher. I was right all along.
  19. I do love Jones' ridiculous posing after his homers. He's not a very likable guy. He usually gets himself out as fast as humanly possible and when he hits a dinger he admires it like it's a Picasso.
  20. I agree. Getting arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after savagely beating a man who was minding his own business it nothing but hilarity. I hope we can void this contract offer somehow but we probably can't.
  21. YEAH!!!
  22. I think we should burn down Chicago and sacrifice all our current players to various gods.
