    Darn! Now Dusty's going to have to play Hairston everyday. I have to feel bad for Corey though. You know he's trying his hardest out there.

    not gonna happen. dusty fought bringing in that lineup for how long, and when he finally tried it (on monday), the cubs rewarded him with a whopping no runs on about six hits. that gives him all the reason he needs to feel good about going with his imbicilic gut for another 10 [expletive] weeks. I say start the entire West Tennessee roster. How much worse can this bullcrap get?! I'm also starting to hate Macias. Every hit he gets, guarantees him a little more playing time later in the season.

    I know he threw the meatball on a 0-2 count, but shouldn't Barrett or mgmt get some of the blame for calling for that pitch? That's not where Barrett set up to catch it. Where did he set-up? outside corner? He set-up kind of high. Since when did Novoa become the set-up man? or does Dusty have a set-up man by committee? Dusty goes with whoever he feels like. I would've rather seen Remlinger in that spot. At least he knows what he's doing.

    Novoa's ERA coming into tonight was around 2.50. Glendon Rusch is getting rocked as well. I hate to say it, but I'd trade him..he's the odd man out in the rotation and he's not nearly as good of a bullpen pitcher as he is as a starter. and Dusty making a double switch in the 8th inning, down by 4. Very smart tough guy. I don't care what Novoa's ERA. So he had a few good outings. He's really done nothing to prove he's more than a Triple-AAA pitcher. You use someone good like Michael Wuertz in a pressure situation where you have to get someone out.
