  1. Jigman, not trying to start an argument, but going from 89 wins in 2004 to 79 wins in 2005 is improving the team? Oh, and the Sosa situation was 2004, not last year.
  2. Guzman will most likely not be the 5th starter on the 15th. I believe Dusty has said Williams will start the year as the long man in the pen and move into the rotation on the 15th.
  3. The rotation is one of the first posts on the first page of this thread.
  4. Miracle! Dusty made the right choice! Walker will be the primary second baseman!
  5. With Cubs announcers instead of White Sox! I think it might be interesting to watch a Cubs/Padres game announced by the White Sox announcers. Yeah, that's not what I meant. We had to suffer through White Sox announcers the last time a Cubs game was on WGN.
  6. Ya couldnt wait to pick up Marshall, could ya?? Actually, his league is a CBS Sportsline league that has a minor league draft. You can keep guys in the minors. Yahoo doesn't even have Marshall available yet.
  7. With Cubs announcers instead of White Sox!
  8. Sean Marshall is starting. Since I'm from Marshall, IL, I will take the liberty of starting this game thread. Go Marshall! Go Cubs!

  10. I hate the pathetic coverage of spring training games. Today's game is one of the few that's on radio, so, of course, I am not getting a good signal of AM 720. I hate AM radio.
  11. Agreed. That's all Neifi should ever do. However, if we're playing against a pitcher that Neifi has completely dominated in his career, I have no problem with him starting and giving Cedeno a rest.
  12. Group A-Alex Rodriguez Group B-Albert Pujols, Aramis Ramirez Group C-Jason Bay, Carlos Delgado, Cliff Floyd Group D-Jacques Jones, Luis Gonzalez, Todd Helton, Reggie Sanders Bonus-Jeremy Hermida
  13. Bruce, according to your lineups, Williams is pitching at Surprise against the Royals while Marshall is pitching at Mesa against the A's. According to Cubs.com, Marshall is pitching against the Royals and Williams is pitching against the A's.
  14. I thought the Cubs sent Dopirak down? Did they call him back up since Lee has to take care of some family matters?
  15. maybe Z wanted the ABs But still, I thought both teams had to agree to use the DH or not use the DH.
  16. I just noticed something. How can the Cubs not use the DH while the Rangers are using the DH?
