    It's too bad Pujols can't face Cubs pitching everyday. He's 0-7 against it so far this season.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the 15-day disabled list means you have to stay on the DL for at least 15 days. I'm pretty sure you can keep a player on the 15-day DL for longer than 15 days.

    Everyone born after 1980: "What's a record player?" :) Hey now! I missed being born in the '90s by 9 months and I know exactly what a record player is, how to operate it, and have done so numerous times! We still have a working record player and over 1,000 records.

    And that's the ballgame! Nats win 12-8! Always nice to see the Astros lose. With that loss, they fall a half game behind the Cubs in the standings.

    In other news, Oswalt got charged with 5 earned runs in 6 1/3 innings tonight. The Astros then brought in Chad Qualls, who promptly gave up 4 earned runs in 1/3 of an inning. The Nats are whooping the Astros 12-7 in the bottom of the 9th.

    People who think the Astros are going to win the NL Central this year are on crack. No way in hell are the Astros going to dig themselves out of this hole. They're offense is crap, and one pitcher so far has showed dominance.

    Sorry, no such luck. The Astros have one more starter that has shown he is capable of being decent, Backe. If Pettite keeps pitching like this and Oswalt and Backe have to carry the load, and if they continue to average 1/2 a run a game, the Astros are in biiiiiig trouble. :D

    Mitre is awesome. All he needed was a chance to pitch regularly in the majors. He wasn't going to get that chance with the Cubs. I'm glad to see him doing well.

    Pettite is getting clobbered. 3 runs in the first inning courtesy of home runs from Cabrera and Willingham. A win for Mitre would be nice for my fantasy team. (Don't laugh. It's NL-only and my players keep hurting themselves.)

    I don't know. Nobody said anything. Yes, Jimmy Rollins extended his hit streak to 37 games with a double against the Cards.

    wow, womack over freel. The Reds are dumb. Yes, who should be leading off and playing second? The guy who hit .249 with .276 OBP last year or the guy who hit .271 with a .371 OBP last year?
