    Hamels kicked our arses. While Hamels did kill us I too think we do better against established ML pitchers than we do the crappy ones for whatever reason.

    Well, hell, then he should've just walked into the dugout and not bothered sliding. It doesn't matter what Jones "knows" because the umpire evidently didn't know it. it was an easy play. simple throw to third to get him on the force. like I said, JOnes knew he was out. should players fake it everytime it's a close call just to fool an ump (who the vast majority of the tme, will get the call right)? No it should be like golf = even if the ump had called Jacque safe he still should have just went back to the dugout

    Not to defend McCarver/Buck but this team should have more home runs that it has no matter where they play. Oh I agree that we should have more homers but the national media assumes that the place is a launching pad every day when that is just not the case

    They use the ESPN feed any time they can it seems - must be cheaper. On a related note what I want to know is how come other networks allow their pregame show to be broadcast on XM but the Cubs broadcast doesn't begin until seconds before first pitch? Just got off the phone with XM. It is part of the FOX national game of the week contract that XM has to use the national feed too. As far as pregame and not pregame, it is up to the station. Some allow pregame to be broadcast and some dont. Wow - thanks. We should request to WGN that they allow the pregame to be broadcast.

    :D I was kidding Borowski was for the most part a bigger high wire act than Dempster and he was the closer on a team that almost made the world series

    You are absolutely right - we need a guy like Borowski. He would come in and nail them down and he had us within a few outs of the WS in 2003
