    and that game eventually what was cost us the wild card...hit him! hit him! I have an idea, let's be the first one to hit someone! Somehow I think Hawkins was probably more at fault and should draw the wrath of Cub fans rather than Diaz. Everybody pins all the blame on Hawkins, but people forget that Dempster started the 9th and then walked two guys after getting an out. With a three run lead, that's completely inexcuseable. And then everyone's hero, Kent Mercker, gave up a 11th inning homer to a guy who'd never hit one in the bigs before. I just got here but that's Victor Diaz you're talking about right? Man what a disaster that was :cry:

    I'm pretty sure that pitch was pretty close to Lee's wrist and I'm pretty sure he missed most of the year last year with a broken wrist I don't care. The team needs him. Exactly my point - that is why he can't allow guys to just chuck it at his head or his wrist What? So the better option is to get suspended, leaving the team without their best hitter for ten games and not preventing future instances of beaning (actually making it more likely by starting a fight)? Better than being out for the season with a broken wrist.............I was at the game in 1992 were we lost Sosa for the season on a pitch just like that
