  1. So instead of looking at a players numbers to get a feel for what type of player they are, you are suggesting we should watch every game they play and then make a decision? Lets see, 162 games, 30 teams...I knew there was a reason I got TIVO. PS to answer the original thread I think that when Walker says things that may bother some, he is for the most part, right. Didn't he speak up about Macias-Perez at the top of the order, among other things that were resulting in their lackluster performance this season? And he has been consistant at the plate, and I don't consider his defense to be so bad that it is costing us any games. For the price I think finding someone better than Walker will be next to impossible.
  2. What was the name of the movie that Tom Selleck did that in?
  3. What is the title for the Bears now. Bank One presents the Chicago Bears? :x I may be wrong but wasn't the reason for this because Soldier Field was considered a historic landmark and it's name couldn't be sold?
  4. LOL. No I made alot of trades. gave up P. Manning, Ward, Ronnie Brown, Leftwich, Duckett, and a few more people. Got parker in FA before the season started. It was hectic, but I have a few of my friends in my league so I was able to call them and ask them if I can get someone if they would be interested in trading for whoever. It was a lot of dealing, and almost all blew up in my face, leaving me with no one. However with that team I am still 0-2, due to sweetass Culpepper. He has scored 6 points in two weeks. I just don't have the heart to bench him cause I know what he is capable of.
  5. I have Willie Parker, Priest Holmes, Julius Jones, Marvin Harrison, RAndy Moss, Dante Culpepper, Jamal Lewis on my team. Willie Parker has more points than every one of them, by a large margin. Pittsburgh has also named him the indefinate starter, regardless of Duece or Bettis' health. Until his play starts to go down he should not share much time at all (per ESPN Inisider) Take the trade, IMO. Bengals have not played anyone with a defense yet and Farve will come around to the point where he will be comparable to Palmer IMO. Maybe see if you can get someone besides Anderson, or check the FA and see what else is out there that you could drop Anderson for. With Defenses always available you are pretty much trading Palmer for those three. Not too bad. PS Who runs that league? In my ESPN league you have to trade an even amount of players. It sucks.
  6. Looks like his season is officially over. He no longer has a uniform http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2170471
  7. I agree. I actually posted on here when MSU went up 21 that it was over. I could not believe they got back in it. Though ND lost, I was still happy with the game. They showed alot of heart and character that they have lacked for so long. MSU just dominated them, and IMO it was not nearly as close as the score shows. I don't think winning 8 games this year is unreasonable. They should be able to beat either Purdue or Tennesee, and the rest of the schedule favors them (besides USC). Regardless of how the rest of the season goes 2-1 and this point is great.
  8. CPatterson ND was 20 when they beat UM, they were 36 when they beat Pitt. Michigan is also ahead of ND. I agree that MSU should be ahead of ND, but I also think UM should be behind ND and MSU. This is a perfect example of why preseason polls are a joke. When ND beat UM, they had just beat the #3 team in the nation. Regardless of what anyone thinks of UM being over rated, the fact is they were #3. A jump from #20 to 10, after just beating the #3 team is not unreasonable. However to move MSU (or any team) up to the top 15 after being unrated will never happen. Remember in '93 when FSU won the NC due to dumb logic with the voting? The polls almost always work out in the end, but the only real solution IMO is a playoff! PS. I would have quoted the whole converstation but I can never get it right when I try to, so I just had to do the last part. Sorry
  9. I don't know who all bets on any of these games, but next week looks like a very interesting week, with some real good games. MICHIGAN -3 WISCONSIN TENNESSEE U LSU -6.5 IOWA OHIO STATE -7 GEORGIA TECH VIRGINIA TECH -10 PURDUE MINNESOTA U -3.5 BOSTON COLLEGE CLEMSON -3 I can't believe Purdueis not favored. Also OSU seems favored a little too much, and BC/Clemson will probably be even by game time IMO.
  10. MSU planted their flag in the middle of ND stadium again after this win. I have a real problem with teams doing stuff like that. Three years age BC tore up the field after their win when nd was #4, and now MSU has apparently started a tradition of sticking a flag in midfield when a win. If ND would put their flag in the middle of someone elses field I would feel the same way. It is a classless act, and IMO Smith should (which he won't) do something to stop it.
  11. =;
  12. That was stupid
  13. If MSU wants to win this, they should probably go deep...a lot
  14. \:D/
  15. At least you don't hold grudges.
  16. It almost looks like they are letting them get through, like a screen, but then have a hard time getting it downfield.
  17. BRADY QUINN! That guy does not like to go down
  18. Weis loves him. Absolutely love him. I would have thought that DW would have gotten it.
  19. Think they'll go for it? They did. And didn't get it :x
  20. Yes he has. However ND wouldn't be in this situation if he hadn't stepped up today. I can't take many more games like this!
  21. NOOOO!!!! HOLDING!!!! Penalties are killing them.
  22. ND is getting too many chances. If they lose this, it is because they beat themselves.
  23.
  24. C'mon ND!!! :P
  25. Sorry Nash I got a little down there. I'm just used to the teams that get down and give up. I am shocked that ND had gotten back into this.I just called work and told them I would be late. No way I am leaving now.
