    I was thinking about the Mets offseason acquisitions and came to the amazing conclusion that they have almost (and may have by the end of the offseason) acquired a who starting team :lol: C-Paul LoDuca 1B-Carlos Delgado 2B-Mark Grudzielanek (ESP said they would sign him Thursday) SS-none yet 3B-none yet OF-Xavier Nady OF-Tike Redman OF-Manny Ramirez??? SP-Barry Zito???? RP-Billy Wagner That's a pretty solid club too

    Did they actually report it or was it the same speculation they've had all day? They really don't have a clue. They've repeatedly said it was his choice to go to Oakland so that was the most likely destination. This ignores that he has no choice in the matter. I heard: "it's no secret the Cubs are interested in L.A. outfielder Milton Bradley and manager Dusty Baker has even met with him, but it appears the outfielder will end up in Oakland"

    I think he's great at trades: The Good: Lee acquisition for a mediocre/bad Choi Ramirez/Lofton/Simon acquisition Karros/Grudz acquisition for freaking Hundley Nomar/Murton acquisition for crap Barrett acquisition (he was traded for correct?) Clement part of the acquisition (Willis was thrown in at the very end as a throw-in no one thought he'd be great) The Bad: Sosa trade Farnsworth trade Cruz trade So basically when Hendry devalues a player, the trades suck (pretty intuitive) and when he doesn't devalue them he fleeces opposing GM's, for the most part. I'd say he sucks at FA but is good at trading, making him an average to slightly above average GM. I think he just focuses too much on "toolsy" guys. You forgot the macias trade. It was a signing

Let me just reflect on three things 1) I'm sorry for bringing m4d to NSBB but he appears to give you a great deal of enternainment 2) There was no "revenge" over the Pierre/Furcal in Cubs hats :lol: 3) Its all just some guy from the cubs forum making fun of m4d from Saturday night's extravaganza

That assertion was proved false. According to convo you published on cubs.com, Len told you "100% certain." That doesn't leave much room to wiggle. So, are you suggesting Len lied? I asked him to. He said 100% That means either it wasn't Len, Len likes to mess with people, Len really isn't a reliable source, or you lied because if he said 100% and it didn't happen...what other options are there.     It was Len. It was the screen name he left on the cubs.com board before he was kicked off. Seeing as how Len wrote about getting kicked off the next day on his blog, all the info he left is real. Why he would give out his sn is beyond me but that was indeed Len. That just seems very weird that somebody who works for the Cubs would post on an internet message board about inside dealings. He seems to be more laid back than other broadcasters and is very close with the Cubs fan base (We know for FACTS taht he did the Q and A here and he was on the Cubs.com boards)
