Do the Tigers have as backup catcher that can hit some ?? Their backup C is hitting .158 and Gerald Laird, their starter isn't even that great.

    Harden too (and probably Wells) Harden's probably on par with Hill. Wells is much worse, though. By OPS: Z: .691 Harden: .566 Hill: .562 Wells: .308 Dempster: .257 Lilly: .248 I don't know though, Wells seems to know how to handle the bat quite well

    I mean, I guess I could have understood it had there been a runner on first and Lou wanted to stay out of the double play. But Johnson's already on second so Theriot's not going to ground into a DP. Especially with Theriot's tendency to hit it to the right said I have a feeling it was Ryan's decision though.
