I understand the concept, I wasn't aware of the rationale, which is a little weak if you ask me. Totally blocking a possible makeup game for the risk of "extra drunk people hanging around the city" is kind of ridiculous.

2008 they must have had a half-dozen ESPN Sunday night games. If it was the only option to get a game in, I think they could manage.
