First of all I had a splitting headache last night, so I couldn't make it past the 9th. Secondly, Barney batting leadoff is still among the worst decisions of the season. I think most fans would agree.

The bullpen really is the main thing keeping this team from being competitive. We're at the point where they've blown so many games, we'd be .500 if they were competent. I sure hope the FO knows what they're doing when they trade Feldman and Garza because putting together a good rotation isn't as easy as they've made it look this year.

Villanueva is being viewed as less of a "late inning" option than Marmol right now. There's problem number one.

The Cubs make their first trip to the home of the Angels for the first time since I believe 2004... I seem to remember Todd Hollandsworth running smack dab into the right field wall, yet cannot find a photo or video of it. EDIT: found it: (click at your own risk of reliving 2004 failures) Unfortunately, they take on one of the best pitchers in baseball, but the Cubs often surprise us and knock around good pitchers. Here's to the start of another winning streak. Go Cubs!
