    It's worth mentioning that in the 3/13 game, Candalario went 3/4 with a HR (nearly 4-4, had a line drive robbed) and Contreras had two more hits, including a double. They are having a nice spring. Also worth mentioning we played the A's, not the Mariners.

    I think you are going to disappointed very often (for whatever reason it is that you prefer that), then...probably every time Fowler is in the lineup. I know. I'd just like to see a little better contact in front of Heyward/Rizzo/Bryant/Schwarber. Also, someone who wouldn't swing out his shoes every time he sees the wind blowing out. Minor quibble, really. Man, I can only imagine the response if I had made this comment.

    Rondon Fan It seems a lot of the other game thread freak out people either left when the Cubs dominance was too undeniable or just got tired of being berated. I'm going to somehow take this as a compliment. There will be no freaking out over preseason games. I promise. ...unless someone gets hurt. 8-)

    Seems pretty clear that Sczcur/Murton/Victorino will be fighting it out for the 5th OFer spot. Probably isn't any more complex than that.

    And why do you think that? It can't be the voice giving it away. Fowler sounds just as nerdy as Theo does when he talks. You don't think it's possible that it's the guy who has his head tilted back as if he's shouting and whose physical cadence matches the delivery of the statement perfectly? Clearly Theo saying it.     Whoever was on ESPNRadio reported they signed Fowler to be their starting CF and will move Heyward back to RF but will get time in CF. Who was that someone, though? Given the options, I'd expect a lot of moving parts and PAs for all four players. Jesse Rogers. Multiple tweets were posted on the last page.

    Sad to see him go, but it would've been tough to find ABs for him. A RH reserve OFer makes more sense for this team.

    I know Vasgersian was the Brewers announcer at the time, but man he was way more tolerable then than he is now.

    I love the idea of bringing Fowler back and swapping Soler for a good young SP. Not only would you deepen the rotation, but put Heyward in his more comfortable position and the OF defense becomes a lot better. Having Lackey/Hendricks as 4-5 starters makes my mouth water. If the right Soler deal is out there, I think this is the way to go.
