    SS is the most logical as Hendry has had Pie as his project since taking over as GM, they want to give him a legit shot and he obviously has more upside than Cedeno/The riot.

    Don't know how many times we're going to go over this, Soriano is playing LF and Kouske is coming to play RF so barring injuries this is what's happening. Therefor a trade for Teahen is basically redundant i have a bad feeling jim is licking his lips thinking about the odog now that burke has arrived from houston.

    I know there is alot of talk about us not having 'quality' prospects to deal however not wanting to sound like a kool aid drinker i would try and unload Marquis and let Dempster,Gallagher,Marshall and Hart fight for the last 2 rotation spots. I give Cedeno his last shot at SS and let Pie play with no pressure in CF. I fit Murton in to the right spots to hit vs LHP and raise his trade value. What i'm getting at is that i feel the value with our prospects at the moment is on our team rather than sending 4 or 5 for 1 player. If Gallagher,Marshall and Murton start well you suddenly have a package to get something great rather than currently only having enough chips to get a marginal upgrade ie roberts,hudson et al.

    Just thinking out loud, if the cubs got a bat such as rolen,inge, tejada to play 3rd would anyone consider looking to unload ramirez? would the dodgers do ramirez for either and a top pitching prospect? would ramirez accept a trade to the Angels or Dodgers? I am in no way a Ramirez basher in fact he is prob my fave cub however 3rd seems a place where we could replace some of his production and get good value in return, his contract looks very reasonable in the current market. tin hat on........!!

    Either Levine is being sold down the river or Bruce M's sources are off but levines like a dog after a bone, now reporting the royals interested in Jake Fox as well as Matt Murton.

    To be fair pretty crappy reporting from ESPN1000, 'cubs intend to trade craig Monroe and intend to trade for Carl Crawford'. To put the two together is garbage, monroe deal looks like happening and has press the Crawford deal is going to be nowhere near as advanced or been as discussed. Just bad reporting based on a throw away line from sullivan.

    it in 5, don't ask me for reasons or evidence or history to prove why i believe i'm just not ready to throw in the towel and i don't think our players are either. I thought if we were going to win the WS we would do something crazy like the Red Sox vs the Yankees but in the series itself. So feck it let's get the white knuckle ride out of the way in round 1 and it's plain sailing from here on in , Go Cubs..........

    My friends all say i'm too negative a NY or philly type fan, how can you support and praise a crock of crap like these guys?? i wish the brewers would of taken the division far less painfull. On a side note the hawks started with a pathetic loss tonight ah chicago sports you gotta love it!!!!!!

    All the things that held us back from winning the division by a mile will send us home early this postseason. Inconsistant hitting and pitching and the inability to play not that great teams well.

    Well the offense sucks, now the pitching has followed that's a recipe for a quick end to your playoff hopes. This is what hell must be like, and i don't care how good this dback team is No history = mean nothing to me.
