CUBS have been getting early leads this year. They've scored in the first inning in 7 of their 12 games so far. A trend that I hope will continue for a good long while !! I'd like to get a win today because tomorrow game vs. Penny is a tough one!

Keep it up guys! I wouldnt be so sure about that. Dusty likes to ride the hot hand in the bullpen. Just look at Weurtz, he sat out there for long stretches already, and then gets brought in and stinks up the joint. Not saying its all Dustys fault for Weurtz performance, but not pitching regularly is not a good thing with bullpen guys. Dusty did the same thing to Welly last year letting him sit for 12 days or so, then bring him in, and go figure he was wild. Weurtz sat because Dusty didn't have a lot of confidence in him. If Wuertz had been effective during ST and in his earlier appearances, he would have seen more action and perhaps been given the benefit of the doubt when he struggled during the season. Dusty didn't have a lot of confidence as well as all of Cubbie Nation. I have no problem with Weurtz being sent down. I wasn't high on him going north with the team after his horrible Spring. Dusty gave him the benefit of the doubt. It's amazes me how people look for just about anything to bash Dusty with.

Well no offense to Welly and Weurtz but they are not the model of consistency. I'm sure you would do the same thing if you were the manager. You saw it with Novoa today. He just came up last night and he pitched two innings today.

Makes sense. Novoa would be able to give them more innings than Aardsma and a move was desperately needed, regardless of Wuertz's outing last night. I'm just hoping that out starters start to go deeper in games. I'm worried about our Pen being burned out by June!

Badger I agree but managers always do stuff like this and I never get it. Ozzie is another manager that always plays they whole bench and aren't afraid to sit hot players for Lefty-Righty match-ups. Drives me crazy!

I hope you are correct - as long as it is in RF. No Pagan will get the start in RF and Hairston @ 2B. I'm just guessin btw.
