  1. They actually lost 7 straight last year. April 30-May 7.
  2. I'm done with positive predictions. Cubs lose this game 6-2. And the streak goes on and on and on and o.....
  3. My voe is Larry Derkier. Leo Mazzone Interesting. I've never really thought of him before. Has he ever expressed a desire to be a manager, do you know? If he does manage I hope GN doesn't show too many shots of him in the dugout. He makes me sea sick. If Leo wanted to manage I'm sure he would've did it already.
  4. Do you mean Bobby Cox, or are you referring to a regular season series. The regular season. The Cards Vs. Cubs 5 games series.
  5. Sorry, I can't back that statement because I can't imagine true fans would want their team to lose. fans with no foresight, anyway. i, for one, want this team to get better, and the only way to that is for things to get worse. i'd rather have the team finish with 60 wins, have the entire front office purged, hire someone who actually knows how to spend wisely and develop a different organizational philosophy than to middle through the season, finish with 70-80 wins, miss the playoffs, and have everyone who's part of the problem back next year. our current Iago, one mr. gary hughes, needs to be imprisoned and hit with a 500-mile restraining order. the light must be seen by the tribune and it won't be seen with a mediocre team, this team must be exceptionally bad. I honestly don't know what to say except I think it's a disgrace you guys want the team to lose? Our Cubs have had a losing mentallity forever and you want to keep that tradition for another year?
  6. Wait a sec? Sure he asked for those type of players but he didn't ask for all these injuries either. It's not Dusty job to build a team it's Hendry's. He's a craphole manager without injuries. Was he crap in 2003 with the proper players? They should have been better than they were in 2003. They barely won the division. They should have been leaps and bounds ahead. You don't really believe that do you? C'mon our bullpen was more then suspect and our 7,8 hitters were automatic outs. On top of that we didn't have a leadoff until we got Lofton and then we took off. Also Dusty out managed LaRussa in every way in the 5 game series in 2003.

  8. That is perfect response Gooney and I agree with you!

  10. I actually agree with you. I've been a Cubs fan all my life, but we need some serious managment changes. Sometimes you have to get to the lowest low before someone realizes that maybe all the excuses are nothing more than a smokescreen for the real problem. Dusty hasn't done terrible this year, but I think it's time for some new enthusiastic blood in the dugout. Ken But here's the problem we haven't won a WS in 97 because of the manager. I couldn't see another manager doing any better with this current team...
  11. Sorry, I can't back that statement because I can't imagine true fans would want their team to lose.
  12. Funny but so true! Espically because Hill said he's going right after Bonds tonight. I'm sorry Rich Hill going straight after anyone is not good.
  13. Let's cut to the chase...Cubs lose this game 7-2. Hill goes 3 innings giving up 5 runs.
  14. We win this game 4-3. Murton's hitting a 3 run shot.
  15. Yeah mine also. You can never question the man's desire. He truly bleeds Cubbie Blue and gives us 100 percent everytime he steps on the mound. Here's hoping he stays healthy enough this year. Because he's one person I always would pay to watch.
  16. That is pretty effcient for a strike out pitcher. He'll never be a Greg Maddux where he just needs 80 pitches for 7 innings.
  17. My buddy was at the game and said Wood looked great. Easy motion, work fast, and pitch count was very low. Granted it's single A but not bad for his first start. I don't know what it is but I've always been and always will be a Wood fan. He's just one of those pitchers on any giving day you might see something special.
  18. Couldn't agree with you more. All it takes is the Cubs to sniff first place and Chicago will go crazy yet again. Cubs and Bears are the pulse of sports world in Chicago. It's just the way it is. The Sox just won a freaking WS and still only draw 20,000 for a weekday night game. Not that we should care whose more popular, but if questioned no doubt the Cubs are what Chicago craves...
  19. It's getting hard to even watch this team! We stink right now! :x
  20. I couldn't agree with you more! Since then they have played lights out and are sitting pretty at 20-12.
  21. You may reach 2nd base more than the Cubs do tonight! Dude, I seriously just spit water out on my desk I laughed so hard! So funny! I nominate this as the post of the day! Instant Classic!!!! LOL!!!!
  22. That made me laugh...! Go Cubbies! I'm trying!!!!
  23. I'm feeling good about tonight. I think Z will pitch a 8 inning gem tonight. We need it!!!
  24. Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! Or as I call it another excuse to get sloppy drunk tonight!
