    I just start crying and then make them buy me beer. My Sox fans buddy don't even tease me anyone. They actually feel sorry for me.

    Exactly, and the talent level was as good or better in 2004 and 2005 and Baker got nothing out of them either. What happened in 2004 is a bigger crime that what's happening this year. That team was a playoff team if Baker's not managing it. Hendry didn't help matters when he didnt trade for a much needed closer. The 2004 and 2005 teams were terrible also. Don't sugar coat it. Our bullpens those two years were terrible and how many key injuries did we have? As bad as the 04 team was it was good enough to make the playoffs with a better manager. We didn't have a closer. I think we lead the league in blown saves by the pen.

    What happened? He and roberts had some words after roberts scored. Resulted in warnings. Didn't Barrett do the same thing in 2004 with the Astros' and that eneded up firing up the 'Stros to the playoffs? You would think he'd learn.

    Not a chance! In all honesty another manager with this team wouldn't do much better. Until we get Lee, Wood, and Prior back (if they come back) we are looking at a below .500 team...

    Reality. Look at the lineup and the starters the Cubs have been throwing out there, and try to say with a straight face that they should be winning consistently. Agreed! A team with a 95 million dollar payroll should not have three rookies in the starting rotation. We are bascially the Marlins.

    Does the mathematical equasion take into account we are the Chicago Cubs? You know as well as I that mathamatics are worthless with this team. If we went by mathamatics we would've went to the WS in 1984 and 2003....

    I'd like to take this opportunity to mention that I predicted in the season predictions contest that the Cubs would win 74 games this year. I'm sittin' pretty. I think you'll be off about about 10 games...Looks more like 64 games.

    God this team SUCKS! In every way! I mean we are basically the KC Royal or the Marlins with a 95 million dollar payroll...

    But sac bunting is not right. Not sac bunting is the right answer. Not foolishly reducing your chances is the right answer. Not giving up outs is the right answer. The right answer is to not repeatedly make the same mistakes. We lead the league in DP's! You have to do something to scrape some runs over.

    No, sac bunting is wrong. Batting Neifi in the 2 hole is wrong. Letting Murton swing away is not wrong. It might not always work, because that's baseball. And a sac bunt might occasionally work, because that's baseball. But the odds are against you and it's absolutely foolish to keep sac bunting the way Dusty does. Dude it was a joke, but the point being there is no right answer for this offense. We have to lead the league in Sac. bunts and double plays so what is right and what is wrong. If you have a bad offensive team no matter what you do at the end of the day it's still a bad team...

    Yeah that's probably the reason, rather than the 4th worst team OBP in the major leagues. I see Dusty fault because we can't get on base. When does the fault land on the players? Some lies on the players, a lot on Hendry, some on the hitting coach, a little on Baker. Every one of those things I mentioned above - they all suck. NOW WE AGREE!

    You see if Murton bunted Marby over we would have a guy in scoring position and 1 out... :lol: Face guys no matter what Dusty does will be wrong. This offense is terrible.

    Did he? That's fantastic. Well Giles is a 3 hitter and Cedeno isn't. Big differnce there. lol...so dusty is either dumb for: 1) Batting Cedeno 3rd or 2) sacrificing with his #3 batter Take your pick. who do you bat 3rd? Walker been in a slump for 10 days...

    Because if you haven't noticed we haven't been exactly scoring runs lately, so dusty has to try to get runs anyway you can. I have no problem with that play. They haven't been scoring runs partly because Dusty makes it harder to score by giving up runs. They've been pulling this crap throughout the whole slump, it's not going to make things different. Oh c'mon! You are blaming Dusty for the Cubs not scoring runs? I'm not the biggest Baker fan, but c'mon! We can't score runs because our guys can't get a hit when it counts.

    Let's face it he's not a 3 hitter but we don't have one and you need to get runs anyway you can. Espically with the wind blowing in. Let's face it sac bunting is the dumbest move ever, unless it's the end of a game. If you let Cedeno hit, and he gets a hit, Perez goes to 3rd and scores on Aram's fly ball (you can get a run on an out or a hit) If you sacrfice, you HAVE to get a hit. Saccing is STUPID. Yeah but no matter what you need to get a hit. Either from Cedeno or ARAm.
