  1. You mean tomorrows game?
  2. I'd go to a playoff game alone.
  3. OPR needs to pitch a gem tonight...
  4. I don't see us going 10-2.
  5. It ain't gonna be no cakewalk, that's for sure !! Look at the Brewers schedule it's not easy either.
  6. Yeah they didn't look like world beaters, exactly. It was nice to end St. Louis' season (basically), just as we did in 2003. The parallel seemed pretty obvious to me. Not saying the final outcome will be the same of course. It's pretty freaky. Hopefully we'll go on a roll like we did in 2003...
  7. Doesn't matter what the records are Cards Vs. Cubs are always a tough matchup. Cubs were terrible last year and still won the season (I think) series...
  8. I asked Buster Olney a question on today's chat: CC (Chicago): What is Larry Rothschild reputation in the baseball world. It seems he's doing a outstanding job with the Cubs this year. SportsNation Buster Olney: (1:35 PM ET ) CC: Great reputation, smart guy.
  9. No way...I just don't see that happening.
  10. I can't stand the guy. Waaayyy too nice.
  11. The Reds are throwing Harang and Arroyo at us. It's going to be a tough series.
  12. We got to take 2/3. I don't feel good about this series. I think we'll take a bit of a fall here and win 1 of these games.
  13. Alright. I like to put pressure on my OWN team, so I'm gonna say the Cubs need to win 8 of 12 to ice this thing. We shouldn't expect less. It's a bunch of tomato cans the rest of the way for us. No reason at all to expect less than 2/3 in these final series. The Reds still worry me. Espically the series starting tomorrow. Arroyo and Harang always pitch well against us. The Reds' series this week scares the crap out of me. I could easily see them winning this series with Arroyo and Harang going for them. Hopefully Z pitches a great game on Tuesday night against Harang. I'm going to that game so I'm hoping he does.
  14. Not really...Not in today's market. Pitchers who take the bump every 5 days and give you innings are paid well.

  16. I just wonder how much LR has helped these guys?
  17. Good lord this series has shades of 2003...With the same results.
  18. He's been one of our more dependable starters for the stretch drive and that speaks volumes. At least in my book.
  19. Soto will probably get the start.
  20. It wouldn't kill us losing to the Cardinals, but the Brewers have a damn good shot of winning today. I'd love to hold that lead for today until the Brewers are back on the road and the Cubs are back home tomorrow. No doubt. I feel pretty confident we'll win today. Man, I'm worried about the Cincy series...
  21. Floyd and Ward have been hot lately.
  22. I'd love to win this game, but I wouldn't commit suicide if we spilt the series.
