    Assad was great. Don’t know why Ross thought it was a good idea to throw him a 6th relief inning the third time through the order when he’s not even fully stretched out.

    I would hate to see Kyle replace Wesneski. I have little faith that Kyle would be any good right now (and maybe ever again). With a guy that relies on feel so much, I’d rather give him an extended period of time of not looking like ass before giving him the ball on the major league team. I also wonder if we will want to go to a 6 man rotation or skip some of Steele’s starts at some point to keep his innings down. His career high was last year at 119 IP.

    The Cubs are also 7th in MLB in BA with RISP. 17th in OPS/wRC+. Just some reverting back to the mean with how great they were to start the year. It’s an unfortunate stretch, but overall pretty close to where I expect them to finish the season offensively.

    Agree. The Bears considering a QB in that hypothetical next year would be contingent on JF not progressing as a passer, and thus being top 10. I don’t expect that to happen. NFC south is all horsefeathers, so who knows with that pick.

    With all the OTs going right after Wright, I doubt we could have dropped lower than 14 and still gotten him. Jones is more of a project (though higher ceiling). Skoronski will probably have to play guard. Wright is the most day 1 ready of the bunch. And has plenty of successful tape at RT specifically. I want to surround JF with as much ready to play talent for 2023 to evaluate him properly while we have 2 potential top 10 picks in a QB heavy 2024 draft. Also, Patriots got pick 120 to move down from 14 to 17. And that’s with the last remaining tier 1 OT left on the board. So I don’t think a worthwhile trade down would have been available.

    This. You can’t quote a 2022 article as your reasoning that there are 4 tackles more highly rated than Wright (including or not including PJJ). And you quote PFF, who most recently had them rated Skoronski, PJJ (16), Jones (20), Wright (22). Mauch was 51 overall, for the record.

    Wright’s floor is much higher than Carter’s. And both are huge positions of need. Wright provides further support of your franchise QB. This is MUCH less of a gamble than Carter. I don’t really understand how anyone can refute that.

    Ohhhh another Fins fan in here? Washington would be a great fit in Miami. Definitely need some help run blocking and he can probably contribute year 1 as a red zone threat, which is much needed after losing Gesicki. I’m a little afraid they’re going to trade a third or something for Dalvin Cook. The RB room needs help, but I hope it’s not for an overrated and expensive back like Dalvin. Good draft to pick up a back on day 3 that can help immediately.

    Bulls will probably win, followed by a thrashing from Milwaukee. But I gotta say I enjoyed seeing Zach go nuts in the second half and PW’s defense changed the game in the third quarter.

    Morel should have started the season on the roster. There’s enough shitty players taking ABs and attempting to play defense that finding enough playing time for Morel shouldn’t have been an excuse to start the year at AAA

    I (stupidly) went to the game tonight. What a terrible performance. The starting 5 were absolutely awful. Billy needs to be fired, but won’t be. Highlight of my night was Au Cheval and the Une Année beer I had.

    So if all 3 teams tie, the Bulls get the tiebreaker (assuming they win Tuesday)? Tuesday is a huge game.
