    I think they changed the rule this year and the game would be suspended until tomorrow. At least that's what I'm hoping... Guzman 7R 3IP Yeah, I think the Marlins and someone made up the last few innings of a game the next day earlier in the year.

    Same here. thirded. somebody said they may get rain in new york saturday, anybody heard if it'll get rained out and they show the cubs instead? Nah, they would probably just talk about how great the rivalry between the Sox and Yankees is.

    I have heard the same thing. From what I hear, Calvin and Russel both wanted 15% more than Williams got last year, and Quinn would take a lot less, close to what was paid last year for Williams. From what I've been hearing, the Raiders gave Quinn an offer that would be considered a low-ball offer for a 1st overall pick but would be better than what he'd get in the 7-9 range. If true, it is a smart move on the Raiders part. except for the part about DRAFTING BRADY QUINN That's great. He is going to get killed next year if he's in Oakland.

    This has nothing to do with whether he should play SS specifically. The Cubs strongest lineup has Theriot at SS and Pie in CF and Floyd in RF defensively the Cubs strongest defensive lineup has Cedeno at SS, and Pagan in RF with Pie still in CF (and Blanco behind the plate) This tells me that the Cubs need to get rid of Izturis, Jones and find a PH-C so they can insert Blanco in later innings. Pagan isn't even on the Cubs.

    Kind of a "spin off" of this...since there are a lot of people who think that "order" doesn't matter...and since Soriano seems dead set on the "leadoff" spot...how bout we do something a little "less traditional" with our #3 hole. Leave Soriano in the 1 hole...he gets to lead off still...power...speed...even if its a Low OBP...then start off with our more "traditional" leadoff candidates...theriot, followed by Murton, our better 2 hole guy...and construct the line up from there on Soriano Theriot Murton Lee Ramirez Barrett Derosa Pie It lets Soriano lead off yet still gives us the best chance of having guys on in front of our other boppers. We want lee, aram to get as many AB as possible. They are locked in the 3-4 spots. I know that's the theory, but how many fewer at bats, over the course of a game/year does the 5 guy get than the 4 guy? Theoretically, in this situation they'd get more at bats with guys on base, which solves our biggest problem...just saying "your best hitters only bat 3-4" seems to be like saying "you need a fast guy to lead off"... I believe I heard somewhere that it is about 20-25 bats per spot over the course of a season.

    Seriously, let's just condense the entire freaking board into one thread. Lighten up. If there's already a thread discussing this, I have no problem with merging them or locking this one. He's just saying that because he caught some heat for posting yet another Theriot thread.
