  1. This...just...keeps...getting...worse...
  2. Tweedledum and Tweedleidiot Maybe I should be glad for the ESPN radio team.
  3. Who's doing play-by-play on ESPN TV? (No cable here, just curious.)
  4. Maybe you were looking at his 2nd base defense on BP. I dislike Neifi, but his defensive numbers at short are actually pretty good.
  5. Plus, we get to listen to Joe Morgan tell us how great of a manager Dusty is. With Neifi at second we might also hear how Neifi is the best 2nd baseman in Cubs history.
  6. Well, now a national audience can see first hand the horror that is a Dusty Baker lineup...
  7. Eckstein GS in the 9th beats Braves 5-3...
  8. I often think the same thing...I just have a hard time doing it. I can however, enjoy baseball for baseball when watching 2 teams I have no investment in! It hurt there to hear Pat say "and the Cubs lose again" to end the broadcast.
  9. Blanco improves our chance of winning from 8% to 28%! Been watching the World Series of Poker lately? Sometimes looking up stats is the only way I avoid going crazy during these games! (5% change now BTW.)
  10. Blanco improves our chance of winning from 8% to 28%!
  11. Wouldn't it be nice to see a wholesale change in the middle of an inning with this slumping lineup? Kinda like a line change in hockey...
  12. Cubs OPS last 7 days - .671 - 2nd worst in the league. This offense is terrible right now.
  13. When we're not getting killed by HR's (lately) we're getting nickeled and dimed to death. Here's hoping for a lead this inning (or at least a run?).
  14. There has been speculation that he's been hurting all year. Seriously hurts his speed.
  15. Listening to the radio... how poor is Macias' arm? I also think a real CF would have thrown out the guy at the plate yesterday from shallow center...
  16. And next inning we get Macias, Blanco, Maddux. I'll be back in 30 minutes...
  17. 5 runs before the 4th out of the game is my limit. Oh, well...
  18. I was at the game. Brownlie looked pretty good and was making guys miss and hitting his spots. He settled down after a few hits in the 1st. As to the title of the thread - there was no posted radar gun at the game (though it looked like there was one behind the plate...).
  19. There were few breaks on that play. No call on the same 2nd strike pitch; correct (close) call at 2nd...
  20. In other news, Brewers tie up the Mets 6-6 in the 5th...
