    If Hendry wouldn't trade Hill for Dunn, why would he trade him and another player for Pierre? And knowing Hendry's history of trades, doesn't it seem highly unlikely he would trade 2 of his top LH pitching prospects? Hah, didn't he trade D-Train to the Marlins? At the time, that deal looked great. Clement and Alfonseca for hardly anyone.

    I think Rusch is a long-reliever this year and will be used if Wood/Prior/anyone else goes down again. Just my quick 2 cents though.

    i think the key you have to question is not if but when is giles going to regress. He's 35 years old and wants a what? 3-4 year deal?

    I say do it. Dotel can help our pen greatly and if he's terrible, it isn't that much of a loss/risk.

    If we sign Furcal, it will be a 4/36- 5/42 deal. How will that deal look four or five years down the road? Once again, we're mentioned as a suitor. Hendry has been known to get his targets. I have a strong feeling we'll end up with Furcal. Unfortunately, I believe that will be the totality of the splash we make and that our OF still will be uninspiring. If our OF is not improved..I'm done with this team. You guys say that all the time, and you always comeback.

    I think the only way we get him is a 2 year deal and he is a very reliable set-up man. Doesn't have to close this time around as we got Dempster to do that.
