  1. Figured I would share with you guys since I decided to go. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00618.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00621.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00613.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00625.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00627.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00633.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00636.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00634.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/passow13/DSC00623.jpg
  2. Yeah, I'm going. Section 34, Row 4, Seat 101, I believe. That is a quality seat, eh?
  3. Trying to think if it's worth going tonight or not as I'm going to the Mariners game tomorrow. Looks like they still have tickets really close to the field still avaliable for tonight's game.
  4. Look at the schedules. St. Louis' stretch is coming up.
  5. Did I see that right.. the Cardinals have Todd Wellemeyer pitching on Sunday? Are you serious? Are they hurting that bad? Their rotation consists of Wainwright(who's been mediocre), Wells(who's been awful), Braden Looper, Wellemeyer, and Brad Thompson And yet they are in 2nd place... No way possible they stay in 2nd when they actually start playing winning teams. They're going to get ate up and spit out.

  7. Marquis is coming back down to Earth...
  8. The Cubs are babies if true. Nut up, and start playing baseball. If there's a dumber phrase than "nut up" I have yet to hear it. Is there any report that the Cubs players are actually complaining b/c Lou's mean or too hard on them or is that just what some here are assuming? Maybe the players just think Lou's an incompetent manager and that's frustrating them. Being frustrated with incompetent leadership is human nature. Doesn't make you baby. If you think your leader is doing a bad job of leading, you're supposed to sit quietly and smile while he drives you off the cliff? Yeah, Lou has been like a cartoon character and really likes mugging for the cameras. I'm guessing some players are annoyed by his "I'm a baseball genius but I can't do it all for these incompetent morons" routine. I think the players probably hated the way he responded to the Dempster game in NY. He promised big changes in response to the game, and apparantly, after realizing there wasn't anything he could do, decided to switch deck chairs. The Dempster to the rotation back to the bullpen fiasco could really rub the players the wrong way. What can Lou do when he's handicuffed by Hendry?

Well maybe if these guys can pull their heads out, and start playing fundamentally baseball.. maybe Lou will let off. Come on, this has been pathetic lastly. Can't run bases. Can't throw the ball to the cutoff guy. Can't stop a passed ball. Can't throw the ball to third base. Can't catch a routine fly ball. This is the majors, not high school baseball.

  11. A-Rod's a pipe dream. He'll go to Boston or Anaheim if he opts up.
  12. He'll probably end up going to the Yankees after this year.
  13. What does your friend do, exactly? Works for stats, inc. So how did he get that info? Just said he heard it as a rumor from one of the guys from stats inc that is at the game.

  15. Heard from one of my buddies that the fight continued in the clubhouse.. that's why Piniella and Rothschild went down there/why Barrett is out.
  16. Carlos Beltran struggled big time in his first year in New York. Batted about 260 with 16 homers.
  17. from the Marlins... Zambrano, Hill, and Ramirez? I would die to have both of those guys.
  18. Season's over after the next 10 games.
  19. This is sad, just sad... Barrett's OBP is only .293, what?
  20. That really is an impressive streak. Seriously. I thought it was rough when my local minor league hockey team lost 3 in a row with me in attendance. I am the last 0-10 so I also have a streak going on.
  21. I will also be in attendance tonight. About time to turn it around.
  22. So because the bullpen sucks, Lou must walk on eggshells and bring in the exact perfect person or he's an idiot? The perfect person of course being Howry or Ohman, every single time. Never mind that a strategy like that will send those 2 to the DL by July. This makes no sense. Eyre sucks, he's on the team. Either get him off the team, or Lou will have to use him. Period, end of story. Well, he doesn't have to use him. Lou chose to bring him in in the eight today but he didn't have to. Maybe it's Lou's way of letting Hendry know he need to get rid of Eyre. He can't have a guy taking a roster spot, particularly in the pen and not use him. Just can't, it will hurt as much as sending the guy out there over time. If Lous way of letting Hendry know to get rid of Eyre is to put his team in a bad situation, then he should be fired now. They have things like email, text messages, phones, and even these things called cell phones that can be used to convey to Hendry he wants Eyre off the team. Given, I doubt that he is trying to send a message by putting him in in that situation. However, Eyre riding the pine for a week I think was message enough. Ultimately what is he going to do? He has to bring in a lefty. Why? Wuertz is capable of getting lefties out, and was rolling. And even if he "had' to bring in a lefty, why not Ohman? Why bring in somebody who has sucked all year, and continually hurt his team? There is no logical reasoning in bringing Eyre into this game. Again, they've told you this. You can't keep running the same guys out there every day or our bullpen is really going to take a hit when everyone of the relievers starts to break down. I think you have no idea how to run a bullpen. You guys think you can throw all of our best relievers 4-5 days in a row, and it's not possible/not logical at all. You're going to destroy your bullpen.
