  1. Yeah I'm sure you're right. Gatens, Cole, May, Cougill, McCabe, Marble and likely Cully. Fran is going to be content with that. He's not going to even try to recruit anyone else. He's just gonna say "eff it, I'm good with 6-7 guys". Did I say Iowa was going to field a 6-7 man team? I think I used the word might there.
  2. I think Fuller is gone. 4th straight year of our best player transferring at the end of the year. It hurts for next year but we'll see what Fran can do. I expected some transfers/decommits and it's not a bad thing given that the style of play and types of players recruited are so different. Unfortunately Larson was our best recruit and Fuller turned into our best player last year. Fuller's gone. I would expect Archie/Brommer to leave with him here soon along with Larson/Brust possibly not coming. Scoop also has it that Cully Payne is 50/50 too and considering transferring. Iowa might be fielding a 6-7 man team this season, and they're going to be really really bad.
  3. Haven't seen a Cubs lineup yet, but the Reds Lineup is out.. Stubbs 8 Cabrera 6 Votto 3 Phillips 4 Bruce 9 Francisco 5 Dickerson 7 Hanigan 2 Harang 1
  4. Reds Lineup... Stubbs 8 Cabrera 6 Votto 3 Phillips 4 Rolen 5 Bruce 9 Gomes 7 Hernandez 2 Bailey 1
  5. I'm pretty sure that Andy Katz in a twitter post a month or two ago said he heard that instead of 12 teams, the Big 10 was trying to go 16 teams. I'm not going to look through his 2000 tweets to find it, but it's there somewhere.
  6. Considering who he's up against, I wouldn't bet on it.
  7. Not completely untradable, but his no trade rights make it virtually so. Even if it's to a contender at the deadline if we're out of the race? I would think with this being his final year of his contract that he would have to consider it.
  8. Braves lineup -- 1. Cabrera LF, 2. Prado 2B, 3. Jones 3B, 4. McCann C, 5. Glaus 1B, 6. Escobar SS, 7. Heyward, 8. McLouth CF, 9. Hanson P
  9. Yep. Patterson, Wall, Cousins, Blesdoe and Orton are all going pro. I would bet Bledsoe and Orton will be back though.
  10. Braves Lineup: Cabrera 7 Prado 4 Jones 5 McCann 2 Glaus 3 Escobar 6 Heyward 9 McLouth 8 Jurrjens 1 -- Cubs Lineup Theriot 6 Fukudome 9 Lee 3 Ramirez 5 Byrd 8 Soriano 7 Fontenot 4 Soto 2 Dempster 1
  11. If McCaffrey can't recruit Illinois, he's screwed. He'll be a goner in 4/5 years.
  12. Marshall, Samardzija in the pen. According to Gordo.
  13. Should be in the Elite Eight pretty easily.
  14. ROFL. Is Baylor going to make it into the tournament? Seriously. Their RPI is in the Top 10.
  15. Well, just found my 12 seed to take to the Sweet Sixteen.
  16. Illinois is in serious trouble.
  17. West Virginia better be in Duke's region. Friggin' joke that they jumped both them and Syracuse in the crappy ACC.
  18. 32 minutes in, and Hughes/Bohannon are 0-17 from the field.
  19. After watching most of these conference tournaments, I think it's pretty evident that we're going to see a mid-major somewhere make a huge run. College basketball is pretty down this year from my point of view.
  20. KCJJ Radio says Lickliter is resigning. I figure we'll get something definite here in the next hour when Iowa's eliminated from the Big 10 tournament.
  21. Len and Bob, I would guess. Cubs/Sox play again on Sunday on WGN and that's at the White Sox park.
  22. Extremely hard, but putting Purdue/Iowa at the bottom of the Big 10 with Penn State/Northwestern is a joke if you want to include prestige.
  23. Fixed your post. Come on, man. You crazy. If you don't think this team has improved dramatically then you haven't been watching. From the middle of January to the end of February they had one game where they weren't competitive. What game is that? Northwestern game? Are you forgetting the Purdue game @ Purdue, or the Michigan game @ Michigan? That's three right there.
  24. I still feel Iowa can make a bid at the the tourny in two years if everyone stays and next years class is as good as some Iowa fans think they could be. What makes you think that? Iowa's terrible, have shown virtually no progress under Lickliter, and they don't have anyone that's a program changer coming in.
  25. Why hopefully? Hopefully Martz fixes this inept offense, which just happens to include a disappointing TE, and stays for a while. Like he did in Detroit. Martz is a terrible offensive coordinator, and you'll figure that out pretty fast. good beer tonight, huh? Nah, I'll wait until the season goes on. I'm sure by about game 4-5 people will be saying he's as terrible as Turner. You think Cutler was a turnover machine this year, wait until next year when the Bears never run it with a terrible offensive line, and terrible receiving corps. He'll destroy what's left of Jay Cutler. Martz doesn't run the ball at all, and runs an extremely unbalanced offense towards passing. He often doesn't change his gameplan either if it's not working either. Kurt Warner left because of him in St. Louis and got kicked out of St. Louis. And he got ran out of Detroit because nobody liked him either. Good luck with the Vikings/Packers when Cutler's running for his life all game long. And I'll gladly eat my crow if I'm wrong here.
