Phil has wanted to trade for A-Rod since A-Rod was a Mariner. You can't fault the objects of his desire. He just can't drive the "let's trade Kerry Wood for A-Rod" bandwagon anymore. I wish I believed Hendry had a ballsy trade left in him. I'd take A-Rod, damaged rep and all. I'd rather have him than an Abreu. I really appreciate Aramis, but no problems here giving up Aramis +++ in trade.

Caveats: New Camera! These are random shots -- including foul balls etc. The Diamond Jaxx won all 3 games I attended by the scores of 5-3, 2-1, 2-1. So please bear in mind that the offense was limited at those games at which I had a camera. Couple of notes from Saturday's DJaxx game: Nic Jackson had to leave the game after grounding out 6-3 on a close play. He collapsed after running through the bag -- he must have hit the base awkwardly. He was limping as he walked off the field with the trainers; hope he's ok; didn't hear an update last night since it was toward the end of the game. Scott Moore made an absolutely fantastic play on a screaming hopper down the line to prevent the Biscuits from at least tying the second game in the 9th last night. Ron said it was one of the best plays he'd seen since he'd been with the team.

I hope it's past by 10:43 when I'm flying out

OK, we should be caught up now. I think everyone's record is accurate (WindyCity, I didn't count the All-Star Game either way); let me know if it's not. DJaxx is on rehab assignment. Vance is up, sweetpete is on deck.

Now it's dead again. Although there's an occasional extra-slooooooooooow-blip of Ron, which is slightly amusing.

4-1 DJaxx to the 7th. Dope 3-3 with a double so far. Gallagher: 5.2IPs, 5H, 1R, 1ER, 5K/3BB, WP, 8GO-2FO. Left with 2 on in the 6th, Shipman got the last out. Fox with a CS (before I tuned in) & a snap-throw PO at 1B. :)

I can't get the DJaxx broadcast to come in (sorry, Ron!). The Biscuits broadcast is working for me. Is anyone else having a problem?

Someone can feel free to start it! I'll have to sort out & update the list tonight. I can't do it at work and I haven't been around enough in the evenings to get caught up.

I don't want Dusty gone because of yesterday's game, but I do want him gone. I don't know how much good in the long run bouncing Dusty will do if Hendry and MacPhail are still around. I'm ready for the Trib to go; it doesn't matter if they care about winning (and have finally funded a decent payroll), it matters that they haven't done so and have compiled a record of futility over the past 25 years. Doesn't seem like that's likely to change anytime soon, and I don't need another 25 years to see whether they can turn it around. I wish there was a small sample size problem with judging the Cubs' record under Tribune ownership.

Did Ozzie succeed in running Mariotti out of town by calling him a ---? The column is about how Steve Dahl's son was a co-founder of an anti-Mariotti website.
