It's amazing Yost sees no problem with usage. He knows that they're not going to have him next year. Mine as well get your money's worth. That's fine and all, but doesn't he realize what the high PC did to CC's playoff performance last year? If Yost doesn't get MIL to the playoffs this year, he probably gets canned. I think he's more concerned with just making it. Cross the playoff bridge when you get there. Running up his PC, late in games, with large leads doesn't make it anymore likely that they get there.

It's funny to hear him and Karros talk about the Rays. I get the impression that the both of them can't fathom a former perennial doormat leading their division and they both still see the team as a novelty act, in an "aren't they cute?" sort of way. It sounds like Karros "gets it"--if you will. He talked about how tough it is to lose 90 games; how hard it was to keep plugging away, but he made it sound like players on the Yanks and Red Sox knew how talented the Rays are. Lewin seems like he's having a hard time wrapping his brain around it.

Wrigley Field has a "frat party atmosphere" according to Josh Lewin. His disdain for the the Cubs is still so transparent.
