  2. I've been lonely in the first class club car on the kljestan train for a while now. He's not for every game but he's as smart and crafty as anyone in the pool and Jesse Marsch and Dax McCarty have helped him get to the next step by giving him more freedom to roam. He's got a role to play. More than anything though, Pulisic and Kljestan included, two badass forwards beating people up all game is the biggest thing that they found this camp.
  3. My favorite part of the chosen one's game is how mad he gets when he loses possession. He hulks out and immediately jumps on D. I'd kill for a healthy 2 year run for jozy. He's better than he's ever been right now.
  4. That's a great trip. SPL will be cool. Should get two wins for Spurs. Get to see Wembley and WHL. That's awesome.
  5. Kyle Beckerman: A future we can believe in. I'm extremely, extremely excited to see an in-form Jozy and Bobby Wood paired in a two striker formation. Clint's unfortunate health issues remove any sane obstacles from Klinsy finding away to not play them together. I'm sure he'll find a way. Just like he's finding a way to call Kljestan up and not play him, despite being one of the most complete central midfielders in the pool, Bradley being suspended and Jones being hurt.
  6. He bodied that dude. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4qm33f_wood-b-goal-hamburger-sv-1-0-ingolstadt-27-08-2016_sport

  8. Of course. They'll struggle too.
  9. Jozy is absolutely ripping right now. Unstoppable. [tweet] [/tweet]
  10. [tweet]https://twitter.com/borussenreport/status/768574858590576640[/tweet] Good lord. Nooooo.

  12. He's basically young Brian McBride, which is a good thing to be. Runs all day. Holds the ball up. Good in the air. Strong as hell on and off the ball. Roldan is really turning into something dangerous though. Such a smart player.
  13. [tweet]https://twitter.com/totalmls/status/767567487529549824[/tweet] GOAT seriously great MLS stretch run. Jozy and Toronto are balling. Jozy ate Ale Bedoya and discarded his lifeless body this weekend. NYRB are very solid. Seattle will make the playoffs. Christian Roldan is going to be a national team contributor soon. Fun stuff.

  16. RIP BENNY FEILHABER. GUNNED DOWN IN HIS PRIME. [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. It's getting it from both directions. MLS is NBA-ABA'ing it's most promising clubs (Montreal, Minnesota & probably Sacramento & San Antonio at some point) or muscling them out of their markets with new MLS franchises (Strikers, Miami FC, Silverbacks, Cosmos, Rowdies) and creating development team affiliations with the USL. There's no question they're trying to squeeze NASL out.
  18. This is the story of the bush league soccer gold rush. It happens pretty much everywhere that doesn't have MLS's heavy-handed CBA and Soccer United Marketing as infrastructure.
  19. He's so American. So, so American. Smart, athletic, strong but can barely stand on his left foot, let alone do anything with a ball. Enough strengths to clearly be a good player that could someday be really good. Key weaknesses that could only be taught when he was a kid and that ship sailed. Hahaha I didn't know that. That's hilarious.
  20. Turns out Lodeiro is pretty much Benny Feilhaber with Michael Bradley's work rate. Very, very good. That was a very impressive debut and if Jordan Morris finished his sitters and made an obvious pass, should've been 4-0 Seattle.
  21. It's in remission. Julian Green hat trick v inter. http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/julian-green-opens-scoring-for-bayern-munich-1784588552
  22. Charlie Davies has cancer. http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/story/charlie-davies-cancer-new-england-revolution-mls-073016 Tough dude. Tough life. Just had twins. [tweet] [/tweet]
  23. http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/07/29/atletico-madrid-edges-frame-rattling-spurs-1-0-yedlin-impresses-at-lb/ If this experiment works out and Spurs find a way to get Walker and Yedlin on the field at the same time, that's some speed.
  24. Hachi machi the Sounders fired Sigi Schmid and signed Nicolas Lodeiro as a DP. Foreign DP's with slight injuries signed in midseason have a 0% success rate until they have a full offseason and preseason under their belt. Unmitigated disaster in Seattle this year. This happens a week after Jason Kreis gets a new job. The Garth Lagerway era has been a horsefeathers show.
  25. I love this move: http://www.starsandstripesfc.com/2016/7/22/12256550/columbus-crew-sign-zack-steffen-from-freiburg Zach Steffen to the Crew. He was added to the senior, bundesliga squad at Freiburg but was going to be third string. He needs to play because he's got a chance to be special in a few years. That Crew team is young and exciting, man.
