He’s had many many stretches like this in his career, but yeah, pretty much. He’s got opposing coaches and defenses on tilt, overcooking their tactics to stop him, and the only real surprise has been Miami’s roster construction being sneaky good. Philly “contained” him and Busquets and just got cut open by everyone else.

Big Earn doing more for the MNT now than he did when he was in charge of it.

I’m against the move because Chelsea are a badly run organization, but I have no issues with him taking a huge pay raise to play for a glamour club in London. I actually could see him there for a long time, getting reasonable minutes. He won’t be a starter but similar to Mikel Obi, he’ll serve a distinct purpose as the defensive specialist and depth guy. I’m fine with it. I just don’t want to watch.

Sure but let’s not act like it’s an easy call as to who gets benched for a Gio (it’s Tyler). Tough to bench your extremely consistent and effective team captain, but the ball moves backwards way too much when he’s in compared to Yunus in that role, who can shuttle/dribble to gain huge chunks of field position when Tyler would typically back pass to a CB. That said, we would need all 4 to be healthy at the same time to even have a choice.
