The impending Wayne Rooney Part II Bonerfest from English fans and media is going to be annoying. That is a terrible move for Coop, btw. A mid table Bundesliga II team over MLS? Terrible for the league to lose players like him to leagues/teams like that.

Michael Bradley missed a penalty in the DFB Cup. I don't know if it was blocked or missed, but it would have been nice to get him on the board that early. They won anyway.

I think Minneapolis/St. Paul is underrated. Milwaukee is cool. Louisville isn't a mega city but it's really fun. Everything else good is coastal.

Id be banned for saying that at GRB, oh wait, Im already banned for saying less than that :D Saying Chicago is a better town than St. Louis is worse than calling an established poster a "whiny little [expletive]?" For someone with over 10000 posts on a similar message board, you really struggle with understanding rules of behavior. Im talking about the comment about Chicago having a terrible baseball team on the North Side, genius. Why would anyone at GRB take exception with you saying the Cubs are terrible?

I agree completely. Chicago is world class. Cardinals fans get mad when I say that because of some misguided baseball=life sentimentality regarding taste in cities.

The exact schedule hasn't been set, but it will be spread out through FX, the regional networks and FSC. FSC will upgrade to HD in time for the knock out round. I don't know if previous to that the regional networks will have it in HD. I do know that the final will be on FX with an option to upgrade to Fox if it doesn't conflict with anything and ratings call for it.

If they are spending money to send people to Mexico, why didn't they just buy the rights to air the game? That's a difference in cost of a couple million dollars. Clearly. They'll also be generating some ad revenue by airing it. I'm more or less surprised ESPN is covering the match with additional coverage. They've shown a tendency to ignore or provide very minimal coverage of things they don't air. They recognize the significance of the game but didn't want to spend the money on picking its rights, I just find it a little surprising considering they air most of the rest of the USMNT's WC qualifiers. Yeah, you're right. It seems like a slam dunk considering they seem to have set themselves up to be the spot for US MNT games. I've heard some conflicting stuff regarding the price. ABC whispers that they were asking for an exorbitant price and NBC whispers that it was reasonable and ABC didn't try to buy it.

Rico Clark to Livorno in January is apparently on. Livorno's site is reporting. Also, Benny scored against Randers: lites, MOTM Interview. I love Benny highlights because they're always hd and it sounds like the chef from the muppet show is doing pbp.

Milan Announce Rossi Swoop, Later Retract. Sounds to me like Villarreal agreed to a price and then United blocked it with their first buy back clause. I don't think it's a great move for Milan anyway. He and Pato play the same second-striker position and Pato plays it better. Milan needs a target.

The broadcast team is Phil Schoen from Gol (aka the best American pbp guy) and Marcelo Balboa. Harkes is my guy so I'd say a Schoen-Harkes would be the best American combo, but Balboa isn't bad. ESPN also has an on-site pre and post show with Bob Ley (why?) and Alexi Lalas.

NBC is offering mun2 as a free preview on August 12 for all DirecTV and Dish Network subscribers. Not sure about cable carriers.

I'm so pissed. I'm trying to take solace in the fact that this might be the best possible thing to happen to get us a win in Azteca. Yeah, link to the twitters because I follow Jozy, Charlie Davies, Gooch, Adu and I haven't seen anything too negative yet.

I'm bummed because I'm almost positive we're going to lose tomorrow. Dos Santos is killing it right now and Mexico knows this is their best chance to take us down on our own soil. Couple that with a sold out crowd that's sure to be pro Tri, the chance to win some silverware and our weak squad and I'm not psyched.
