I dont know all the circumstances, but it seems like he may be using the threats as an excuse. He had already been replaced on FSC by Wynalda, and he had already lost a lot of sponsors. To the point that he was trying to get funds from some of his listeners. If I had to guess I would say he could not find any sponsors and had no more money and that is why his show is going off the air. I listen pretty much every day and I think reggie's got it. Unfortunately I really liked the show and there wasn't anything else like it out there in terms of a daily, good soccer show. This sucks. I downloaded today's podcast but haven't listened to it yet.

That's [expletive] perfect. Keep fit leading up to the World Cup, play on a good team with great players like Makelele and put himself in the shop window for a big move after the World Cup if he deserves it. Most importantly, there is absolutely no excuse for not breaking into the starting XI.

Modric played really well on Sunday. Was he at it again? Hull looked so bad that it was hard to draw any real conclusions, but he was ok. Wasn't that heavily involved. No fault of his, the right side of attack was so wide open they just ran their attack down that flank. Defoe was unstoppable, Keane was everywhere in the attack and Palacios was really good too. Had some nice supporting runs, distributed well and finished his goal strong.

Spurs look freaking great. I doubt they can keep it up all year, but Europa is a distinct possibility. There definitely will not be any relegation talk.

So Phil Brown basically admitted that, like I suspected, Jozy being froze out was about Landon's H1N1. Between Jozy, Michael Bradley and Steve Cherundolo missing action, Landon is now doing damage to more than just his European prospects.

At 60 grand a week? I wish I could have just 1 week where I made $60,000. Well it'd be more like $90,000. He makes 60,000 pounds. A Rod makes like $500,000 a week.

I've always loved Duff. He's seem to fallen off the face of the Earth with a lack of minutes and poor health. I hope he can rediscover his form at Craven Cottage. I don't know what this means for their current starting left-winger though... Didn't they just re-up Deuce's contract and make him one of their highest paid players? I think they will find a place for him to play. Hodgson isn't stupid. He'll play. I'm excited because it means one of two things. He'll either move inside where I think he'd be fantastic or Gera will be benched and he'll start on the right which is where he plays for us. Either way I think this is a good move for us.

Had some problems working on his loan, so he's bench fodder for Hannover. He's probably due for a Szetela.

BRING BACK REX AMIRIGHT. \:D/ well no, but the training camp hype didn't translate in this particular game. lots of good throws, but also bad decisions Training camp hype is usually forgotten by the end of week 1. I've said all along it's going to take some time for Cutler to get comfortable. Also there's the whole regular season track record that he has going for him. This isn't some unknown quantity. -
It was a fun game. If it's your favorite NBA game ever, then you have god awful taste in NBA games. As a Bulls fan, I can think of 60 Bulls games that were better than that. That's without even trying to rack my brain for non-obvious ones.

Oh yes he could have. Thomas Rongen's selection for that tournament was disgraceful. Subotic and Davies would have easily been first choice players in that squad.

So yesterday, a bunch of reporters were twittering about Justin Mapp being signed by Benfica. Anyone who has seen Mapp knows he's a nice MLS player, but he isn't a Benfica target by any means. Turns out it's because somebody added his name to a URL on Benfica's official site that automatically generates a new signing announcement. http://www.slbenfica.pt/Informacao/Futebol/Noticias/CompraRedPass.asp?Adepto=Mike%20Hunt Just add your name after = sign where Mike Hunt's name is and you too can be signed by Benfica according to their web site.

The only thing I could think of is to avoid some kind of defamation suit, saying that the story was overblown by the media. It's part of the groundwork for a settlement. -
Whenever he gets healthy. I'm thinking look for him during the October call ups. Damn was hoping for Sept 5th and 9th. The new rules go to effect October 1st. The reason Zamora and the other guy are immediately eligible for T&T is because they had no previous caps with any senior teams.
