It's absolutely incredible. When they showed the rosters pregame I thought to myself, wow, that's not a good team. Yet somehow they pulled it out. They are a really unimpressive squad. Foster is a joke. I think it's down to Sir Alex, Rooney seemingly deserving his reputation and luck. I love Anderson though. One of my favorite players these days. I don't think it's too early to predict Chelsea and Barcelona are the two best squads in the world. Chelsea were almost flawless against Spurs. A well-oiled machine.

Bradley can't play with the ball at his feet. Having him and Jones severely limits our attack to long balls, the counter or playing through the wings. We need at least one cm who can hold the ball and dictate pace/passes.

Also, let's talk about this. When Jermaine Jones finally suits up, I think he's got to take Jr's place. He is by far the better ball winner and has a fantastic knack for reading the game and breaking up plays. I also think that pairing JJ with someone like Feilhaber, Adu or Clint in the CAM role is a way better tactic than the double destroyer. This long ball garbage and the counter can't be our only options. We need to be able to play through the middle. Unfortunately I don't ever see Sr benching Jr and in the past I've been able to live with it because I believe in Michael as a player for both now and the future, but South Africa is looming and it's time to field our best XI no matter what. Development is no longer any kind of priority.

Donovan and Jozy were good. Bradley was ok. Davies was ok, but was left begging on a few of those chances. That said, what he brings to this team is huge. This time last year he was nothing but a fringe prospect and we were just freeing ourselves from the chains of Eddie Johnson and Josh Wolff. Davies and Altidore give us something we've never had before; a strike pairing that can be dangerous against any squad on Earth. Clint. Clint, Clint, Clint... I love the dude, and I think he puts himself in more dangerous spots than anyone on this team with the exception of maybe Davies, but good lord he needs to finish. I dont know all the circumstances, but it seems like he may be using the threats as an excuse. He had already been replaced on FSC by Wynalda, and he had already lost a lot of sponsors. To the point that he was trying to get funds from some of his listeners. If I had to guess I would say he could not find any sponsors and had no more money and that is why his show is going off the air. I listen pretty much every day and I think reggie's got it. Unfortunately I really liked the show and there wasn't anything else like it out there in terms of a daily, good soccer show. This sucks. Natural left back, has some friendly caps for Mexico, made a big move to Club America and struggled but has rebounded nicely on loan at Tigres. He's back with his coach from Santos, where he was noticed for El Tri. Natural left footer, gets forward, can get into the attack but needs to work on defending and gain some strength. Will probably be in Europe at some point. Better than any natural left back we've got at the moment, but it remains to be seen how he'll work in Bradley's system. I'm skeptical. Btw, Jermaine Jones is back in training. His paperwork still has yet to be processed by FIFA, but it should happen in time for the October q games.
