It makes me feel small time, but pictures of a US player shaking hands as Totti's teammate is really cool. Someday soon it won't be remarkable, but right now it is. And Mikey and Clint being the first guys to do it (assuming it happens for Deuce)? It's even cooler because they are the kind of hyper competitive tough guys that are made to break through glass ceilings. They will never accept doubters, they'll fight through adversity. Guys from the US have been talented enough before them, but had the ability to accept the easier way. These guys can't.

I'm in a weird place because I think they need a major overhaul, but I have no faith in GarPax to do it. Paxson has long embraced safety and mediocrity and their Free Agent record is just full of awful signings. I also don't think we have what it takes to trade for Love. Despite all of this, I still want them to try.

Don't fight the EPL. It really is the most fun league for an English speaker to follow. You can read the local press, listen to podcasts etc. I don't have any advice because I haven't been able to lock in on a team either. I just root for the Americans. I'm guessing the first American to score goals for a huge club not named Liverpool will eventually be what gets me.
