  1. And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know. In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws, And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere, But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear. Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.
  2. I'm pretty sure it means they're in and AZ can release Jozy for nat camp. That's what Leander Schaarlaekens was tweeting earlier anyway.
  3. Jozy scored what proved to be the winner in the Dutch Cup final. AZ beat PSV 2-1 for some hardware. Nice cap to his great season.
  4. I thought Klopp was a really intriguing candidate considering his ability to build an elite squad on a budget as well as his success in Europe relative to Moyes' but I've gotta say, I really like David Moyes and I think it's cool a great coach gets this opportunity after paying his dues. Well deserved.
  5. No manager that I can think of has signed more Americans than Moyes, so this could be an interesting development.
  6. Juan Agudelo traded from Chivas to New England for allocation money. There's got to be a reason this keeps happening which is troubling.
  7. And then I said all but 3 starters, so we agree, as in, yes 8 people died, you are correct and I am now implying that even though I hadn't clarified starters rather than the possibility of only three out of every salaried and amateur Man U player having died (which would be a much larger number than 8), that's actually what I meant. This is something that never happened. Quit being a dick? How about you quit interpreting things that are innocuous as aggressive assaults against you? You just took umbrage with things that either didn't happen or things you interpreted as me being a dick for absolutely no reason.
  8. Deuce is benching it today. Balls. Deserved, based on the Southampton game, but balls nonetheless. I've watched a bunch of Tottenham this year but maybe somebody like soccer10k who's watched/follower more than me will disagree with this: there's no way a bad game vs Southampton means Lewis Holtby, let alone Adebayor deserve the nod over Deuce. First, Holtby has done nothing. Second, Adebayor is god awful. Clint should start over those guys based on production alone. Clint plays really, really well against Chelsea. Always has. I think AVB is over-thinking this one.
  9. Deuce is benching it today.
  10. Race-baiting is Jason Whitlock's superpower. You might as well be asking how Superman can fly or how Brad Pitt gets laid a lot.
  11. umm you have to be joking Um no. Rose has seen no gametime , let alone playoff games in 12 months. Robinson is one of the hottest scorers right now. Rose can't get into game form right away. You should be joking. You're not, but you should be.
  12. 8 players died. Edit: That's not to say the survivors were the regular starters, I have no idea. So you're saying, all but 3. Great! We agree. Iirc, Bobby Charlton and their keeper were the first-team survivors that were well enough to play soon after. If you had to pick one player to survive mostly unscathed, Bobby Charlton would probably be the one. I edit to make sure you don't think I am attacking. You edit with that? Wiki lists 9 surviving players. So no, we don't agree. What are we disagreeing on? The tediously, irrelevant to my overall point semantic fact that I didn't clarify all but 3 starters died rather than all but 3 players in their entire club organization from the u-11 boys team to the senior squad?
  13. Twitter is talking like Moyes got the job. Futbol sure does lend itself to some serious crazy talk. Please, oh wise soccer expert, explain to me why losing Alex Ferguson when the club is run by monstrous idiots and has a debt sheet deeper than most first-world countries and the squad has aged past sustainability is going to be much easier to overcome in the modern soccer economic landscape than the Munich Air disaster because you know so much about what happened in '58 and how business was done then in English soccer vs what's going to happen now.

  15. In 1958, all but like 3 players died in the Munich Air disaster. I think Fergie retiring will be the more difficult test of the club's mettle. When the plane crash happened, they still had Matt Busby's leadership. I don't think the Glazers have built a model capable of sustaining longevity without his guidance and even though he's still Club President, I don't think it's enough. His being Club President is exactly why I don't see Mourinho there. He'll go back to Chelsea. David Moyes will manage United.
  16. That's a popular trope amongst Bulls fans. It's also incorrect. 2013 NBA Luxury Tax - $70,300,000 2013 Chicago Bulls Salary # - $74,201,011 http://www.blogabull.com/2013/2/21/4014614/chicago-bulls-trade-deadline-bulls-make-no-moves-will-pay-lu-tax Shout out to knowing things. Ok you're right. But as far as getting a big name player not on the roster right now I think Reinsdorf made his intentions clear. I don't know about his intentions. I wasn't calling you out either. The Reinsdorf tax aversion has been part of Bulls fandom's biggest complaints since the tax started. Considering that, I've been surprised to see their exceeding the cap fly under the radar. The only reason they did was because no one would take Hamilton at the deadline, but still.
  17. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/05/07/jozy-altidore-az-arent-going-let-me-go-may-us-national-team-camp AZ won't release Altidore for May friendlies.

  19. Considering Asik was one of the top 5 centers in the NBA this year, you're getting in way over your head trying to prove an ignorant point. Ranking/valuation of Asik aside, keeping him won't win them a championship and losing him gives the organization more flexibility to potentially acquire the kind of player/players that can contribute to a champion. Now the debate between Taj and Asik is certainly vaild and meaningful, but that's not what you guys are talking about.
  20. This is a bad basketball decision, but it's not crazy and Derrick has absolutely earned this kind of skepticism. He's pretty good, man.
  21. The Bulls are going to get caaaaaaaaahhhhhhRUSHED tonight.
  22. Is strep throat communicable through the TV because James Harden and like, every bull, has it and so do I, I think.
  23. Pep Guardiola is really going straight from that Phil Jackson playbook, eh?
