  1. With the new TV money, I expected way more movement than we've seen in England. I want some action! Omar 'comin: http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/good-as-gold-omar-gonzalez-is-a-go-for-the-u-s More about Julian Green: http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/julian-green-a-talented-teen-with-ties-to-the-u-s
  2. Of course we'll beat Honduras. Landon Donovan: pretty good.
  3. Tito Villanova stepped down from Barca.
  4. Benteke signed a new 4 year deal with Villa and withdrew his transfer request. Randly Lerner paid out.
  5. When do we find out JK's final call up's? I assume Brek is out.
  6. I'm counting on our recent second half explosion trend.
  7. I'm in Vegas for work so I'm watching in a sports book. Put $80 on the US -1 at +105. Lets score some goals.
  8. Spot the yank pt 2! http://twitter.com/USAprospects/status/356188061362708480/photo/1 Julian Green, the 17 year old one one, not the Cubs lobbyist at Chicago city hall, has been playing and training with Bayern's first team and has been singled out by Pep as one to watch. Time to think about a cap. It's going to take a huge commitment from USS, like bringing him to Brazil, to pry him from Germany who won't take him until the '18 cycle. He's a left winger with tons of pace. He's described as a refined DeMarcus Beasley. Similar size but tons of class on the ball and finishing. Unlike a lot of the germanicans, his dad seems to be pushing hard for the US and Julian has spent a bunch of time in the US.
  9. Brek: Blech http://www.mlssoccer.com/sites/all/modules/custom/mls_matchcenter/mls-gamematrix/index.php?omi=489349&seasonId=2013&competitionId=380&language=en&tag=1&reiter=g&efltblosd=JnBsYXllcnM9NTAwNjcmZmlsdGVycz0x
  10. If you want a post game that doesn't involve Warren Barton and Cobi Jones: http://m.youtube.com/#/user/kicktvtalk?v=66QkdWTYIcg&desktop_uri=%2Fuser%2Fkicktvtalk%3Fv%3D66QkdWTYIcg
  11. Also, in 2018, Mix is going to be a very, very good international midfielder.
  12. Wondo is a bum slayer extraordinaire. He's gonna Torres this thing and win the golden boot on the strength of two or three games. I'm glad we have players like him - great story, great MLS player and good for games like these, but fools gold vs world class competition.
  13. He's a combination of injuries, disappointment, and being on the downside of his career. 31 is getting old for international soccer, so this would be his last World Cup cycle to contribute. The injuries/disappointing production have robbed him of even that. Yeah, it was just really bad luck, too. In his prime he dominates the confederations cup, dominates qualifying, makes the huge next level jump to AC Milan and then tears his mcl. An already not very quick guy gets even slower and he just never regained his form.
  14. No, Gus needs to be muzzled and Brek Shea needs to be hobbled. Wynalda has been good with his observations. He just isn't very fluid.
  15. Brek has been abysmal. So bad.
  16. Welp, fox thinks they need to explain every aspect of the game for the national audience so I'm muting this garbage.
  17. Oh god. Gus Johnson & Wynalda. [expletive].
  18. Forgot the game is on big Fox.
  19. SPOT THE YANK!
  20. Well I'm pretty sure he was one of their top earners last year. That said, this is mostly just wishful thinking on my part. I want him to move. I don't want a drop in prestige, but if he could move to a Liverpool/Arsenal or Roma/Inter level-club abroad, I'd prefer that. Spurs are just so uninspiring to watch.
  21. Despite this: Tottenham are shopping him: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/report-claims-tottenham-clint-dempsey-available-transfer-dempsey-145300063.html AVB is a moron if he can't find a way to utilize Deuce within a rigid 4-3-3.
  22. Sunderland's midfield is about to get a lot more classy. http://www.football-italia.net/36302/report-giaccherini-sunderland-deal Huge get and great boost for Jozy's support.
  23. Gerard Defelou is going to play for Everton next year, so there's that. WTF.
  24. Trading for Kevin Love or LaMarcus Aldridge, AKA how to get Bulls fans to give your pageviews a boost. http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-bulls-confidential/2013/07/trading-for-lamarcus-aldridge-or-kevin-love-in-2014/
  25. I'm with you, but I'm still excited because it's the only meaningful trophy we ever win and that's always fun. I also enjoy seeing how Klinsmann's style translates to different players, but you're completely right, of course. There's like 5 players that matter, 2 that matter in the near future (Donovan and Stu) and the rest we pretty much know don't cut it at the highest levels of our pecking order.
