  1. Remember that one year where the bottom of the lineup produced? Me either. Will 2 runs be enough to win this one?
  2. Ho ho, some scrub making a run-saving play against the Cubs. Never seen that before.
  3. And out for blood. He may break Jerry Hairston over his knee at some point tonight.
  4. My guess is Wieters wanted no. 32 (which Walker was wearing) and Angelos/MacPhail felt this was the best way to make it happen.
  5. I take it to mean that Ramirez is in the clubhouse doing a baseball word search. He's already found BASEBALL and GLOVE, but OUTFIELD is proving elusive. Were I there, my recommendation would be to look diagonal and backwards.
  6. I'm sure the Cubs are going to love the travel. From Chicago on that Sunday to Atlanta that Monday and back up to Detroit for Tuesday.
  7. 79 career appearances at shortstop, 17 at second base. His 2008 defensive season broke down as follows: 1B: 36 appearances (21 starts) 3B: 21 appearances (9 starts) SS: 14 appearances (4 starts, though keep in mind that he was with the Yankees and we know Captain Intangibles never takes a day off) 2B: 3 appearances (all starts) I certainly don't know how well he covers the middle infield positions, but clearly teams haven't been afraid to use him there. I'd take a flyer on him.
  8. He'll try again tomorrow.
  9. Hooray! Now Gregg has a lead to blow.
  10. It's like an intentional HBP to get to Soto.
