http://www.uniwatchblog.com/ Full posts on weekdays, uni-related photos with an attempt at a caption on weekends. The initial half of the full posts are usually devoted to a feature of some sort, either coverage of a uniform-related announcement (New Orleans Hornets' new uniforms, NHL new jersey template, etc) an interview with a uniform-related professional (the NY Giants equipment manager is a friend of the site) or someone with a uniform-related story to tell. They're hit or miss, but will occasionally provide worthwhile insight. The second half is the ticker, an amalgamated listing of uniform-related tidbits from various sources. I'll be the first to admit that if you're not inclined to find this manner of obsessive-compulsive study interesting, the blog will alternatively bore you to tears and make you go "people actually care about this crap?", but I'm the sort of person who believes/knows things like: - All players should wear the high socks because they look better - MLB switched to New Era's new onfield cap as of last season, made of a sweat-wicking polyester material and with a black underbrim to reduce glare (as opposed to the previous hats, which were 100% wool with a grey underbrim) - The Cubs utilize a proprietary numeric typeface not used by any other major league organization - The Cardinals are one of only a handful of major league teams to have striped stirrups as part of the team uniform (even if Anthony Reyes and Brendan Ryan are the only two recent Cardinals to wear them) - The Phillies' stirrups actually have a stylized image of the Liberty Bell on them - Pedro Martinez has a habit of pitching with his 2nd jersey button unfastened and other such uniform-related miscellanea, so more often than not I'll come across something of interest to me in a day's entry. As I said, however, the blog definitely isn't for everyone, and more people than not will probably find reading it to be a waste of time.
