  1. yea that bout sums up my reaction...i was angry for the first two runs cuz they gave up those insurance runs to the brewers in the top half...now go win the series tomorrow CUBS
  2. scratch that Michael Young drives in the winning run...RANGERS WIN....still five games back, but makes tonight's cubs loss much more painful cuz of the four run first
  3. Rangers scored three so far in the 9th with two outs to tie the brew crew....so much for that sub 1 era for cordero
  4. how about the frontier league? I think he's too old to play for the frontier league with their rules. But I'd love to boo him down here in Evansville. I could even give our pitchers a solid scouting report. Breaking stuff low and away = out every time. yae i was hopin i could give him hell in rockford over the summer
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKyvcBVLT-o&mode=related&search= funny stuff with bill murray subbin for harry caray
  6. The only thing i don't want marquis to repeat is the getting in and out of trouble all night...those bases loaded situations he let the brewers into were about the end of me on monday...so just go dominate another one of your old teams like you did the cardinals, marquis....and here's to another 3 HR performance from soriano. haha.
  7. well about time diaz did something to not make me throw a chair at my wall
  8. He should already be all-star bound. His #'s rank him in the top 5 pitchers in the NL wait...this isn't a thread about Koyie Hill...damn, i'm in the wrong place.
  9. Yeah-the offense was better than the stats looked tonight. The Braves defense was excellent, and took several hits away from the Cubs hitters. Today was a really big win, and tomorrow is one too. If the Cubs can get the one tomorrow, they'll be up 2-0 in the series before having to face Hudson and Smoltz over the weekend. and it isn't even 100% that Smoltz will start on Sunday Night because he says there is still some soreness...plus if i remember len sayin last sunday the braves aren't good against lefties and the cubs have three goin this weekend...soo with that i say GO CUBS?
  10. i gotta work for the first hour of this game, so it'd be nice to leave work and see the cubs are winning...go cubs
  11. Gary Sheffield does. I don't get it if you're referring to his black and latino ball player comment they are both latino so sheffield really doesn't kno the difference on that note, cubs NEED two out of three and hopefully floyd gets another start and hits me a ball in the right field bleachers
  12. they sure do love berries in the Dominican Republican  way to battle tonight, marquis
  13. until i see lou in the dugout actually make that move that happened tonight I am giving trammel credit. hey, look who's back matt murton takin walks...that's my favorite matt murton
  14. god i love when a manager handles the bullpen well.....wuertz should be the 8th inning guy all the time instead of those two morons (i.e. howry, eyre)
  15. do my eyes decieve me, but did trammel do something smart wit the bullpen and leave wuertz in there another inning? AWESOME! TRAMMEL FOR MANAGER
  16. aight back to the fun that is...THE CUBS BULLPEN!
  17. i hate you chicago cubs...that is all
  18. How exactly did Murton "spark" the Cubs? They finished with a 79-83 record in 2005. Lee was the only reason they didn't lose more games. yea i was gonna say the same thing...only thing i figured was he meant the three game sweep of florida when he got called up
  19. As soon as we all saw Will Ohman on the mound, who didnt think "Game Over." ? Anyone? i did a little more than think it... i said it outloud and laughed
  20. i cant help but think of Major League II when they got in the fight and randy quaid wanted a piece of the action also uecker's quote about the indians finally showing signs of life
