  1. Delmon Young is Bengie Molina plate discipline with Michael Bourn batted ball profile. Seriously. The guy has no idea what to swing at and then when he does, he hits it in the ground (probably because he has no idea what hes swinging at). All of which leads him to have the IsoP of a middle infielder, yet hes a bad defensive corner OF. On the plus side his BB rate has gone from AJ Pierzynski terrible to only Pacido Polanco terrible!!!

  3. You know who can play OF? Chipper Jones.
  4. Its an interesting measure, but moreso to be used to in the minor leagues.
  5. trying to win back some votes  Typical Obama, saying what everyone wants to hear now, contradicting everything hes ever done in the past [ducks]
  6. Nope...which means you should probably just give me your code and I'll take the chance. Just kidding...yes, you get your money back if the game is not played. BTW, Congrats... You won't get all of it back though...you'll still have to pay shipping (if you get them shipped) at least and I think one other fee.
  7. FYI guys, cubs.com is in cocktease mode for the game today.
  8. and Im going to pass...I'd miss too much of the game getting ready and travelling...SO ANNOYING
  9. I just pulled up game 1 tickets...
  10. I highly doubt that they cancel orders automatically and slightly less highly doubt that they'd manually cancel it later on. I'll give them a call in 20 minutes or so if nothing works out. If they tell me they cancelled my order I'll just play dumb. THAT SUCKS...hopefully they just have it for you at will call. I was right along with you clicking for that terrace reserved...last few hundo refreshes, nothing.
  11. Wait, NY media being ridiculous? Stop the presses!!! Just because some idiot calls into an AM radio show, doesn't mean Minaya is going to sell the heart of the team. PUHLEASE.
  12. Good to see that Kosuke isn't making excuses. Hopefully, he'll be able to rebound next year and come back as the same Fukudome we saw pre-ASB. Uhh, maybe thats the problem, buddy.
  13. How are there still seats available to WS home games? Its ridiculous.
  14. That would be pretty awesome...and you'd be ridiculously close. Hopefully you get to do it. Speaking of...Roast, are you going to be able to be at the games?
  15. While this is very true, unfortunately they are not far off from the rest of the fanbase in Cubs hate. I went to abotu 20 games in 2005 and I Howry you not, there were more people wearing anti-Cubs t-shirts than sox jerseys. I never thought it was that widespread, but it really is. It's what happens when you hop on the bandwagon of a fluke season. HA!!! There was most definitely no bandwagon hopping. I just happened to have a lady friend who just happened to have season tickets 7 rows behind the visitors dugout at the Cell. Since she obviously is a diehard Sox fan, I did my best to be cordial, but inside, I was rooting for whoever the Sox were playing. I wore my cubs hat to every game, worry not.
  16. Shame on you for not hurling criticism at Cedeno!!! Don't you know hes the only player that does anything wrong?
  17. There is an entire FORUM called "Fantasy Sports"...hmmm I wonder where I should put my thread about fantasy basketball...yeah, "Social" looks like the perfect place!!!
  18. And singing the 7th inning stretch... root, root root for the suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp Cubbies
  19. Back and forth at least gives you the impression that something is working, but on the bright side, mid-afternoon two days in a row people have been able to pull tickets, theres always tomorrow!
  20. Are you married? I figured that would be the response. No, I'm not, and I would expect anyone who has a significant other that means something to them to not give my question a second thought. I bet the TV would be on though (even though I doubt there would be little interest in the game...minds would be elsewhere) The reason I came up with that question is that I was thinking of scenarios where I wouldn't be there to at least watch Game 7 of the World Series if the Cubs were in it, and death or situations relating to death was the only one I could come up with. Or how about you are going to NYC with your GF for Halloween weekend and she asks you if you should take a Thursday night or Monday morning flight and you say (without checking the playoff schedule), "why of course we should go Thursday night, that gives us an extra night"....and then you realize Game 7 of the WS is that Thursday night #-o Won't matter though, Cubs will in it in less than 7 :D
  21. There's no such thing as a third dimension. I think he's referring to the screen when you can select the quantity and type of seat, but not actually get one reserved. I've never seen them stay on a screen where you can select the type of seat as long as they did yesterday, but 20 minutes ago, it was going back and forth between that screen and "sold out" when I was refreshing. That gave me some hope. Yeah, right now the second game is the sold out screen every time and the first game lets you select the quantity and type of seat every time. Probably some programmer out there from mlb.com is doing it and watching us all scurry and complain.
  22. Blerg!! I hate when it lets you half way through but then gives yo the heisman...Cubs.com you are such a tease!!!
