From what I've heard today on Basebal Beat with Charlie Steiner, regarding MLB TV MLB is supposed to be doubling the resolution of the MLB TV. I know it's not on the TV but it there is an easy fix get an S-Video card for your computer or if you have an HDTV plug you desktop or laptop in to your S-Video port or your VGA port. It's half the price of MLBEI so I'll go that route this year.

From what I've heard this deal isn't even supposed to take place until the 2009. Anyone else hear that same info? If it is infact true, everyone has 2 years to make the decission to switch providers. As I said in a previous post Cox is carrying EI this season, unless they changed their story from 2 days ago.

I too called Cox Comunications yesterday and they said they are offereing it this season. There supposed to be an article about on sports.yahoo.com. I can't get to it here at work. Would someone mind looking it up and posting it?

Just a few minutes on the Home Plate Update on XM 175. They said the Cubs are pursuing Lugo, I know this not new just wanted to mention it. -

Last night during the ALCS they were talking about the Tigers swinging at 1st pitches. Lou did make my eyes light up when he said he likes his players to work the count. "If you work the count, you have a better chance of the pitcher making a mistake". Sounds like a good theory to me. -

getting on base 2 out of every 5 times he steps to the plate is just the sort of non-help the Cubs need. If thats the case why was Yost benching him?

I don't think this can be viewed as them being sellers. the did bring in a legit major league closer and an established (not great, established) outfield bat. when looking at what they gave up they look like sellers. when looking at what they brought in, they look like buyers. on balance, they improved their team, exactly what a certain GM 90 miles south should be doing. Agreed!!
