Bend, but don't break. There's a time and a place for that philosophy, but in general I hate it. That drive was more about selling out on a 3rd and short, getting out of position, and nearly giving up a huge TD run. After that, it was an attempt to salvage whatever they could. I realize that the early part of that series was the 3rd and short and Wright being caught out of position, but there was some of that philosophy in play for that series. I think my point still stands that that mindset is ever present among the defensive powers that be.
